June stay Had a great stay, the hotel team were great and very helpful. Even when our room wasn’t cleaned due to the door sign falling off, they were happy to go the extra mile. Was worried room would be too hot with the very hot weather, but was given a larger room and fan. This worked a treat.

Simply the best hotel experience! - featuring the staff! I absolutely love staying at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel — it’s my go-to place whenever I visit family and friends up north, which I do about 3-4 times a year. In fact, I’d rather stay here than with anyone else! The history and beauty of the hotel are undeniable, but it’s the exceptional staff that truly make it stand out. From Sarah in reservations, who makes the booking process effortless and even goes out of her way to say hello and make you feel like part of the family, to the receptionists who greet you with genuine smiles, the hospitality is second to none. Special mention to Niel, the concierge, who embodies the spirit of service. No request is ever too big or too small for him, and his priority is always ensuring that every guest is happy. But perhaps the most remarkable part of my stays are Edwena and Azis, the F&B managers. They consistently go above and beyond to make sure that whether it’s breakfast, dinner, or any event, everything runs smoothly and with such personal care. Their dedication is clear, and no matter the occasion, you can always count on them to ensure it’s a success. I’m truly grateful to all the team for making every visit feel so special. There’s no place I’d rather stay when I’m up north. Thank you for making my time at the Dunkenhalgh memorable, every single time! Looking forward to my next stay booked in a couple of weeks- I will be sure to take photos this time!

nice hotel shane about the upgrade as a platinum member had recieved notification of an upgrade to the executive room which was appreciated. On arrival the receptionist gave me my key and informed me of the facilities. The room was nice spacious and clean. But …. none of the executive room extras were presentempty fridge , no coffee machine , no slippers or robe basically a nicer standard room. As a platinum member which equates to over 60 nights a year in accor hotels you expect the little upgrades etc for your loyalty. I went to reception and thankyou chutti for sorting out the coffee machine and some soft drinks for the fridge, she was great ! But this was the norm it’s an upgrade so those things are not placed in room automatically! If i get an upgrade i expect as anyone would to have the full upgrade experience otherwise not only is it pointless but reflects. badly on accor that this is their premium room! The stay was lovely and nothing else was wrong but really need to improve the treatment of loyal accor customers if you upgrade ensure it really is an upgrade

Girls spa break We stayed here for a girls spa break from when we arrived to when we left everything was lovely. Staff very helpful and friendly, we had spa treatments booked on the day of arrival and the therapist Sarah (dark hair) who did my treatments wow fantastic back massage and facial. The food, our evening meal was amazing. I would definitely recommend staying here.

The place to stay! We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The hotel was very clean, the room we stayed in was large and had both a bath and separate shower. Many of the original features had been retained and the hotel was well decorated. The food was excellent and the hotel catered for people with allergies. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. I enjoyed using the gym in the leisure centre, which came at no extra charge.
