Pleasant Facility in Need of a Few Updates We stayed three nights at the Doubletree in connection with a family reunion. The hotel provided a pleasant base camp in a car-dependent area. We've had some rough hotel experiences recently, so it was a relief to spend some time at a place that was comfortable and relatively quiet at night. I say "relatively" quiet because the HVAC system was on the noisy side, and it was on all the time due to the hot humid weather, but it was tolerable. The room was spacious, not luxuriously furnished but adequate. Public areas of the hotel were pleasant and easy to navigate. The pool area, which features both an indoor and an outdoor pool, was surprisingly enjoyable, given how close the outdoor area was to the major state highway on which the hotel is located. The hotel needs some updates. There was evidence of water damage around the fan in the bathroom and on the wall over the desk (see photos). The bathroom sink drained really slowly. These problems did not interfere with our enjoyment of the stay, but they require attention if the hotel wants to improve its ratings. The hotel is in a suburban area across from a major regional mall. There are some restaurants, entertainment and of course shopping in the mall, but nothing else that is within walking distance. There is a bus stop within walking distance, but the area is not really walk- or bike-friendly. You will need a car. We were also disappointed by the lack of any recycling baskets for trash in the room, or any other promotion of "green" options for guests, such as declining housekeeping. Despite its limitations, we would stay at the Doubletree again. It worked well for our purposes.

Disappointed. Do not recommend. Very disappointed. I almost always stay at Hilton Brand hotels and am Hilton Honors member but typically stay at slightly lower end hotels like Hampton inn. Splurged a bit and chose a suite at this hotel because had 2 pools. Short version. Lack customer service. Dirty sheets. No housekeeping or maintenance on site after 5. Ice machines don’t work. Pool with lots of clumps of hair floating in water. Had to change rooms when air conditioning broke. Seems like poor management and trying to save money at guests expense. Typically I get greeted as an Honors member but not this time. The room I had prechecked into wasn’t ready so we were given different room. Seemed ok when we dropped our stuff off. When we came back later at night sheets on one bed looked dirty. Called front desk and I had to walk all the way there to pick up complete new set of bedding and make bed up myself. They don’t have anyone available to bring anything to room at night. Spoke to front desk the next morning and excuse was they outsource the laundry and company not good at stain removal. Next day when returned to hotel the air conditioning didn’t work. No maintenance working in afternoon so given a new room. New room had a few things our first one was missing like TV and makeup mirror in bathroom and nicer fridge. Went swimming and indoor pool had several big clumps of hair floating in water and you could see hair on filter at bottom of pool. Wanted ice and wandered to a few floors but either no ice maker or it didn’t work. Front desk told me to go to restaurant to get ice bucket filled. Had one great experience at restaurant host was great and went out of his way to make sure my teenage son who was eating alone was well taken care of. So we all went back next night and hostess not very friendly. Waitress was great but fruit flies floating in daughter’s lemonade so left after just eating an appetizer and went to restaurant across the street. I definitely would NOT recommend this hotel.

What a S**T Hole To say this is the ABSOLUTE worst facility in the Hilton chain would be an understatement. Basically a $300/night Motel 6. Wifi sucks (don't plan on working if you stay here), nasty stains ALL OVER the carpet, sink drain BARELY drains, beautiful view of a brick wall out the window. You would think at the rates they are charging, they could afford smart TVs for the rooms, but no such luck. 1972 cable channels only. Number of usb ports in the room = ZERO!! Half the lights in the room work, half do not. Just so far from what a Hilton is supposed to be. I could only imagine what would happen if Paris stopped over here LOL. WAAAYYYYY below standards for a Comfort Inn let alone a Hilton. The one saving grace is the staff is very friendly and helpful (as they can be). It is clean and the employees are obviously working very hard to make up for the shortcomings Hilton has stuck them with. BEYOND disappointed!

Friendly customer service. We have stayed here once before so we know what to expect. It is a little outdated. The ice machines do not work on the 2nd and 3rd floors. We reserved room 360, it noted a pool view.. it overlooked the back parking lot. The outdoor pool wasn't open yet but that's understandable in OH. The staff is great and we requested housekeeping and it was done in a timely manner. (Always tip your housekeepers.) The Suites are very roomy and comfortable. You get a separate living area with a full kitchen in #360. The dressing area is separate from the shower toilet and whirlpool tub. Lots of hot water to fill the tub and take a shower. You have to visit Beau's bar. The bartenders are pleasant and knowledgeable about the food. GET THE MOZZARELLA CHEESE STICKS......The marinara is amazing too. It's a lower level Hilton but we will return for the customer service.

Turned on the heat and the pet urine odor was overwhelming. They refused to give a refund. We were traveling with our dog on a Saturday so they gave us a first floor room #117. As soon as you turn down the hall you smell smoke. I don't think they allow smoking but this might have been a smoking wing at one time. This hotel is quite old and outdated. The room was super small and smelled like pet urine. As soon as we turned on the heat the smell was nearly overwhelming. There were what appeared to be pet stains all over the carpet. It was gross. We decided all of the "pet" rooms would probably be the same way so we complained to staff but did not ask to change rooms. The front desk guy said he would have housekeeping check it after we check out. Lot of good that would do us. Keep in mind we paid like $250 for this room. $50 was for a pet deposit. I asked to speak to the manager, Jennifer Anderson about a refund. We were told to call the hotel Monday morning when she would be in. I spoke to her on Monday and she said she issued us a partial refund. I told her I expected a full refund, being Hilton Honors members with millions of points accrued. She said she was not authorized. I asked who was and she said Edson Tiheiro, general manager. I left a message for him Monday morning. He did not return my call. I left another message for him Monday afternoon and then again on Tuesday. He never did call me even though I told him in the message what was wrong. So here is my true review of the place. Never again will we stay there even though we frequent the area many times per year. Shame on you general manager. Seriously.
