Too basic, but generally safe compared to other Oakland airport hotels. This hotel along with its neighboring Home2suites are surrounded by an area that is generally safe compared to any other Oakland hotel located around the airport. The rooms have no microwaves or refrigerators. You can request a refrigerator and it will be brought to your room. The Hotel across the parking lot has stovetops/microwaves/sinks in every room for less than the price of a suite with those amenities at the Hampton. This Hampton also keeps their coffee makers in their bathrooms. I find that to be pretty disgusting. When a toilet is flushed it can aerosolize fecal waste. If the coffee makers/supplies are not used, are they cleaned or swapped out for clean supplies i.e., coffee packets and cups? If not, then the coffee makers and supplies can have multiple people's fecal matter on them. Would it be too much to ask to build a shelf outside of the restroom that houses a microwave, refrigerator, and coffee maker?

Better options at the Oakland airport We stayed at this hotel before an early morning flight for convenience. After reading the reviews I felt this was our best option. We checked in around 8:30 pm. After the front desk clerk gave us our room keys I mentioned to her that we needed to reserve the shuttle van to the airport. She asked me for our names and room numbers after just checking us in one minute ago. The bar was closed for some reason. The room was dark and in desperate need of updating. The only positive was the bed was extremely comfortable! I would have expected more from a Hilton property.

Very disappointing We landed at OAK just before midnight. I had called the property a few hours before to ensure the shuttle would still be running. I was informed it would be, and we would just need to call when we had our bags to have it dispatched. We did exactly that, but nobody at the front desk would answer. We attempted to get in contact with the desk for over 45 minutes to no avail. Zero answer for more than 45 while waiting outside baggage claim. We finally decided to take an Uber. Upon arrival we did not get any sort of answer as to why there was no answer and why there was no shuttle. All we got was, “We share a shuttle with another property.” We did not get as much as a smile from the front desk staff much less any sort of gratitude for being a Diamond. The property itself was your typical Hampton Inn. Nothing to write home about. It wasn’t dirty but it definitely was showing it’s age. I won’t be back.

One nite Booked a room at the hotel to stay for the night for an early a.m. out flight because it was coming from 150 miles away and didn’t wanna have to drive in traffic in the wee hours of the morning room accommodations warfare places dated worn not a big deal in that but the $16 a night to park your car after paying $200 a night for a room seems a little ridiculous

Hard to believe this is a Hilton property Dated rooms and depressing decor. Air conditioning unit is wall mounted directly above the head of the bed. Terrible place for it! Annoying noise and lights from the unit and the thermostat all night long. Front desk offered shuttle ride from car rental center at airport and then informed me after I returned my car that there was a $10 charge for the pickup. When I came down to get the shuttle to the airport in the morning, I was asked if I had made a reservation for the shuttle. No, because no one told me to do so even though I asked about the airport shuttle when I checked in. ugh
