Barbie is the best staff member!!! They have great clean rooms. The beds are extremely comfortable with fluffy pillows. And wonderful staff that will help with all you needs. Barbie is the best staff member!!! Make sure to ask for her if you stay. We love you Barbie!!!! Ruger and Remi are our dogs and they love the hotel and staff too ❤️_

Needs maintenance and better housekeeping For the most part, the staff was helpful. The lobby of the hotel was reasonably clean and well maintained. However, the rooms really need to be improved and thoroughly cleaned. The lighting in the room was too low and so many items were in disrepair. Also, there was a strong musty smell in the room. I'm not sure about the quality of other hotels in this city, but in other markets this hotel condition would not be acceptable.

DO NOT RECOMMEND, ESPECIAL FOR BLACK PEOPLE DO NOT RECOMMEND, ESPECIAL FOR BLACK PEOPLE. There's no way around it, the staff of this property are incompetent, inhospitable and racist. We were charged over $200 for staying in the room 37 mins past checkout time. That in itself is ridiculous, but we are willing to accept responsibility for that. 2 days later we were charged another $250 for a smoking fee. WE DID NOT SMOKE IN THAT ROOM OR ANYWHERE ON HOTEL PROPERTY. We only threw away our trash in the room (empty cigar packs) which any clean person would do. I'm not ever sure what would cause these filthy people to rummage through our trash. They alleged that they have photos and evidence of us smoking in the room, but they will not send us the evidence to see for ourselves. Marybeth literally told us we would have to get a lawyer to get the evidence for us. How stupid do you sound Marybeth?? If you are so confident in the evidence, why wouldn't you send it to us for proof? THEY ARE LIARS. FRAUDS AND RACISTS. Richard is awful, he does not need to be in hospitality and his attitude would do better at a call center. Lucy is incompetent, she is a manager with no ability or authority to do anything apparently. Marybeth, the GM, she also needs to be working at the call center with Richard. What kind of GM would actually tell a guest that it is not her policy to respond to guests when they have an issue. It took us over a week to speak with her after we were repeatedly given the run around by Richard. These are very disgusting people that work for a careless company. I also emailed the president of the company, Jay Sharplin and received no response. Every time I encounter a different fool that works at this hotel, I attempt to go above them to reach a person that actually has some sense and the intellectual capacity to comprehend how egregious this charge is, I am only met with another fool that is simply in a higher position.

Very cordial, friendly and helpful staff. I just spent a weekend in Alexandria for a conference next door to this hotel. I want to mention our experience with the very busy breakfast area. We ate the buffet breakfast which was adequate, but I particularly want to mention the ONLY person running the entire restaurant. Sergio Peters earns a gold star from me for his ability to keep the buffet stocked, while manning the cash register, cleaning up the tables, cleaning the dishes, etc., all by himself! In spite of being tasked with running the entire restaurant, he maintained a pleasant and helpful demeanor with us. Why he isn't the manager of that area with helpers to assist him is a question I would like to have addressed to whomever is running this hotel. It must be hard to find people like Sergio who are as dedicated and up to the task at hand as this young man is.

Great location, amazing staff. Close to the conference I was attending. Felt welcomed for the moment I walked in. Every employee spoke to me each time we made contact. True southern hospitality at this location. Definitely recommend
