Adequate hotel Nice, quiet, clean hotel just off the interstate. Room size was on the small side, but the beds were comfortable. Breakfast was adequate, also. Price was affordable. No issues or complaints. Would probably stay here again if I were passing through Amarillo.

Not so good anymore. We have stayed here many times over the last 7 or 8 years. It used to be a great place to stay but it has gone downhill over the last couple of years. Rooms are dated and in need of repair. Our shower floor appeared to have a wood trim around the base that was crumbling and coming out onto the floor. Electronic key cards frequently do not work and have to be reprogrammed. The pool and hot tub are not functional and have not been for at least a year. There are only two luggage carts and one has a flat tire. There was no cart available when we arrived and not one available when we departed. The front desk lady had to go in search for a cart both times. A group of men were sitting under the drive in entrance drinking beer when we arrived. Hallways are hot. Positives are there are several nice restaurants within walking distance and the lady who checked us in and out was very nice and professional.

Overwhelming UNACCEPTABLE Sewage vapors in elevator, hallway & rooms. Check-in Desk Clerk (Donnie) was the only positive thing about this Sleep Inn. BEWARE OF STAYING ON THE 3rd FLOOR. Hotel has A MAJOR SANITATION ISSUE. THIRD FLOOR SMELLS OF EXTREMELY STRONG SEWAGE. We stayed the week before & it was a horrible odor; gave them a second chance a week later, but this time you could literally smell & nearly taste it while on the malfunctioning elevator, then immediately upon entering 3rd floor. Being in the emergency medical profession, we don’t normally have a weak stomach, but this time it brought us to vomite. The Health Board needs to make a visit A.S.A.P. & this location shouldn’t be surprised with reports, as we witnessed others experiencing this. This was totally UNACCEPTABLE. TWO STAYS IN TWO WEEKS & that’s too much! Walk-in & visit 3rd floor, before making reservations.

Rude staff and then double-charged On December 21, 2023 I checked into Sleep Inn & Suites West Medical Center, Amarillo, Texas to stay one night at a reserved room. I got two key cards from the desk clerk who said his name was Donny, and went upstairs. After trying both keycards numerous times, I hauled my suitcase back down to the lobby. I told Donny that the keycards didn't work, expecting that there might have been a mistake in coding them. He told me that the key cards were crap, and sometimes guests had to try up to twenty times to get them to work. He said he would re-code them, but that was just the way it was. I said I was not looking forward to hauling my suitcase up and down. Instead of trying to be helpful, he straightaway said that if I wanted, I could find somewhere else to stay. I had driven all day and did not want to start searching for another hotel during the holidays, so I put up with what has to rank as the most rude, unhelpful clerk I have ever had to deal with. I considered reporting him to the hotel manager, but I had to get up early the next morning to continue my trip. I was going to let this go, until I received my credit card bill, and discovered that I have been billed twice for my one night stay. Do not do business with this hotel. The staff are incredibly rude, and the either careless or blatantly dishonest.

Traveling thru to Ski Country On our annual trek to Colorado- we usually grab a clean friendly place to stay in Amarillo. This worked out perfectly and we didn’t have the drama from Tabitha at Springhill Suites. We never heard from her manager? Don’t stay there. It’s a trap!
