Great Staff The staff here were amazing! Very helpful and courteous. Would have rated 5 stars but had an issue with noise from an air conditioner that appeared to be on the ground. I was on the 3rd floor and you could hear it over the room a/c and the breakfast was much to be desired. Would stay again just on the other side of the building to avoid the noise!

Average Business Stay Definition of an average hotel. Very basic room and amenities. Good enough for a quick business trip, but feels like it could use some interior refurbishing. Convenient location to DM/Ames areas via I35. Would stay again if necessary, but may look to find a nicer Hilton property in the area.

Great hotel! My husband and I had one of the king bed studio suites and it was such a spacious room. It was very modern and clean. When you walk in there is a nice kitchenette area that has a countertop space with sink and fridge. We really liked having that space. The TV swiveled so you could watch it on the couch or from the bed. The continental breakfast was great. There were scrambled eggs, bacon, waffles, oatmeal, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. It was very well done and the dining space was great. The staff was very friendly and accommodating as well. I would definitely stay here again.

Expen$ive! We were in the Des Moines area for a family reunion and several members of our family stayed here. This is probably about the 10th time I have stayed in this hotel and I still cannot figure out why the rooms cost $200/night in the area! The hotel was clean and comfortable, but the pool/hot tub area had so much chlorine in the air that it made our eyes burn just being in there. Definitely needs ventilation. The girl at the front desk seemed rather uninterested when I stopped to check in. I had to ask her if we could have water as Diamond members and she said, "oh, sure." I then asked about the snack and she seemed inconvenienced. Overall, it's a nice clean Hampton inn, but is overpriced and has average staff.

Just OK I found it to be reasonably clean. I do think they need to shampoo the carpets more often. What happened to the great Hampton Inn beds they used to have? Geesh, my hips are killing me after each stay. Odd thing, no handsoap in the entire place, they gave me a large bottle of shower gel to use for handsoap. I have allergies to all the perfume they put in it so that was not usable. This hotel is located in the older part of town, more industrial area. Actually it is literally right next door to the DOT so there is a line of semi's and big rigs waiting to get tested. It has one pet station at the south end of the hotel. Lots of areas to potty pets. I wish hotel staff would put families with kids on one end of the hotel and try to put business travelers and non kid travelers on the other side. There were a ton of families here with very loud children(i know kids are loud) but could not sleep, had to turn up the tv to drown out the noise until they fell asleep, then I could finally go to sleep. After a long day of driving you want to be able to sleep with quiet. Long drive to get food. There is a Sams club within a short distance to the hotel. Would probably try and find another Hampton Inn to stay at.
