One of the best Comfort Inns/Suites We stay in a lot of Comfort Inns and this one was one of the best. Our experience is that these hotels can be inconsistent across hotels and you have to look at the reviews. But most Comfort Inns we've been to almost always feel like something is being let go or not being done quite right. The breakfast is missing items or has the juice machine broken, the fridge in your room is loud or wobbly, the pool area isn't very clean, the fitness room has broken equipment, the water dispenser or ice machine isn't working, etc. A lot depends on the individual franchisee, but it is pretty rare that one is hitting it well on all cylinders. But this one was. It was clean, well put together, and a lot of the little things were done well. The breakfast was in keeping with Comfort Inns but all items were available and done well. The attendant was attentive to keeping food items stocked and the area clean. The pool was nice and someone had even put folded towels out on the updated patio furniture. The Fitness room had nice equipment, was clean, and had some dumbbells (up to 20 lbs). The room fridge had its one distinct freezer. The room had nice beds and everything was in good repair and clean. The staff were pleasant and professional. The main downside is that the bathrooms, while clean, were a little small but had hooks for towels. But that is a real minor thing. I'd definitely stay at this hotel again if I'm in the Ann Arbor area.

Good value for the price This is a good value for the price. The room was clean, with slight dated furniture. Breakfast included yogurt, cereal, toast, omelette, potatoes and sausage both days. The waffle maker was fun. This appeared to be a safe neighborhood. Some other hotels, office and apartments around. It is located right next to another hotel and that had some folks outside below my window Sat pm. If you don’t have a car other than a Wendy’s 10 min walk away you will need to get a ride probably to other food or shopping. Staff was friendly.

Ridiculous staff I had booked a room online and decided to pay when I reach. I reach at 1:00 am. I present my ID and card. My cc has maiden name and the front desk guy Adel didn’t accept. He said prove me so I showed him the petition to change the name which was granted by the US govt, he didn’t accept that either. I was without a room at 2:00am. This dude is okay for me to be on the street but couldn’t be logical and acted dumb. He asked to cancel the reservation and find anothe hotel at 2:00 am. He didn’t even bring the manager to speak. Ridiculous and low level staff and place. I got a place next door with the same documents. This place sucks and will never ever book comfort Inn … it’s more like discomfort.

Would keep looking Check in for only one night. Location is good , the night front desk men were nice and helpful . That’s it, it is very outdated and ran down. The front desk day lady was very rude. Can get past that but can’t get part the snell . It was like they were trying to cover up the smell so well for breeze or something. It’s very overwhelming woke up all stopped up . if you have any kind of allergies, you don’t wanna stay here the bathroom shower would not come all the way out in the top so it leaked all over the bathroom floor. The toilet would not stop running. And there were stains all over the carpet and fabric on the chair. The beds were clean.checked out and went else where . Had two rooms. One was a little better. One shower had mold in it .

Friendly and clean We began at the Quality Inn on Carpenter Road and the young man at the desk was so rude we walked out. Came to this Comfort Inn and the difference was night and day! The young lady was very accommodating, friendly and helpful. My wife is very sensitive to some cleaning products, so we asked to see (actually smell) the room. She acknowledged that they don't normally show rooms but under these circumstances she was happy to let us into a room. (Contrast this to the other guy simply stating they don't show rooms, and if we can't stand hotel cleaning supplies we should just stay home.) It passed muster, so we stayed. All the other stuff was fine. I didn't use the wi-fi, but the room was absolutely spotless! Being clean is the most important thing, I can live with anything else. So between the high quality of the room and the extreme kindness of the employee (especially compared to the other guy), we can't praise this hotel enough. Price was decent, too.
