This Ritz has lost a step… Not a typical Ritz Carlton. Maybe it’s due to the pandemic but service level and attention to detail is lacking. For example, it took us three calls to order room service. The menu was supposed to be scannable via a code left on the desk. It was not there and the direct dial to room service didn’t work. Had to wait for it be delivered and then call back to place order. Also, usually when we check in to a hotel under the Amex Platinum Fine Hotel and Resorts there is an acknowledgment of that and they tell me wants specific benefits I have including if my room could be upgraded. There was no mention of it at all.

Many Things Went Wrong We were very disappointed with this hotel and our first room. 1) When we arrived, we were informed that there was no room service because of remodeling. We wished someone would have called or emailed us in advance. We NEVER would have stayed here had we known there was no room service. We felt there should have been an adjustment to our room rate because of the unavailable amenity. 2) There were dead bugs our room (see attached picture). 3) Toys from previous guests were behind the curtains! See attached picture. Very unclear how housekeeping would have missed that and the dead bugs. 4) And the dusty furniture. See picture. 5) The vanity in the bathroom was warped and poorly patched up. See picture. 6) The immediate outside of the hotel had a horrible skunky smell every single day we were there. I had a hard time believing this was a Ritz Carlton hotel. The front desk staff moved us to another room. Upon check out, the front desk staff were very nice. However, we will not stay here again and we would not recommend. The first room was dusty, had warped bathroom furniture, dead bugs, and debris from previous guests. Plus there was no room service during our stay.

Not the kind of Ritz you expect This hotel should change its name to double tree or something similar. The attention received was very very poor, nothing like we are used to in other Ritz hotels. Its really old, no amenities what so ever. Im really disappointed.

Should be re-branded This was a nice ritz hotel 20+ years ago, now it’s outdated. Marriott should renovate and rebrand this hotel like they did with the old Ritz Carlton Buckhead in Atlanta or the Ritz Carlton in Phoenix AZ. Ritz Carlton hotels in general are a mixed bag, some are good and some are not. Definitely not what they were in the 80s and 90s, and early 2000s.
