Substandard for the price TV and wifi did not function if first room so we were moved to another... TV functioned but WiFi would play 30-60 seconds and then rebuffer for a couple minutes, maddeningly at the least... whirlpool did not function... spigot on tub was wobbly... faucets on sink leaked... pillows were whimpy... breakfast food was mostly substandard, danish, if they put any out were about the size of hockey pucks... coffee was not very good... in room coffee machine did not function... altho... place & rooms were clean... desk staff were friendly but not very helpful at resolving problems... this was probably a nice facility when new but now suffers from lack of good maintenance and marginal customer service... ALSO...! sits just a few feet off of a boulevard so you hear the traffic until after midnight... I do not plan to stay here again.

DO NOT STAY HERE!!! The fireplace would not shut off. The heat went off in the middle of Saturday night and no maintenance would be there until Monday. There was no hot water my entire stay, Friday through Sunday. The hotel was full of employee’s children on Saturday and Sunday mornings. The breakfast attendant was missing in action. Her children were using their hands to get bacon out of the guest breakfast serving tray. I went to the front desk to ask if there would be more coffee made as all 3 urns were empty. There were children sitting and fighting on the floor behind her. The answer I got “That’s not my f*@king job, go to a store if you want coffee”! I have had an issue each and every time I’ve stayed here. The manager has yet to return my calls.

Check your room before paying!!!! Delivered a wedding cake for a venue in Asheboro. Checked in around 4:30pm. Reservations were for a king suite??? NOT A SUITE! Simple king room. NASTY. Had an odor of smoke (weed) basic as could possibly calked a king was because of bed size. The town was booked solid or would have refused and moved to another location. Because of time restraints, only slept there. Sheets were clean, bathroom was nasty in all crevasses! Carpet nasty. Never say the same desk person twice. Only 1 I’ve machine on 1st floor, we were on 3rd!! I was paid to serve the cake for the reception, otherwise would have just come home! Look at the room before signing paper or paying for room! Stayed @ several Comfort Suites….never again!! Beware!!

Do yourself a favor...DON'T STAY HERE!! I booked a room (King Suite) through an online hotel booking site, for two nights for myself, my wife and my 1 year old daughter. We came to Asheboro to visit the NC Zoo. First, when we arrived we were met by the front desk having a note stating they were assisting a guest and would be back soon...fast forward 20 or so minutes later and we were met by a front desk worker. She was actually quite pleasant to deal with and gave us a first floor room. First, the keys didn't work but that was an easy fix. When we entered the room, it smelled. Plain and simple. It wasn't "filty" per se but it was definitely worn and out dated. Nothing would shout to me as being CLEAN. However, it was adequate except for the occasional cigarette (possibly?) burn marks in the walls / above fireplace. We stayed one night and then left for the zoo. We decided the size of the bed was not conducive for a heavy snoring wife (sorry) and a light sleeping husband, so I stated I would use the sofa bed. This was the mistake that unraveled this trip. I pulled off the two cushions and found a Walgreens bag between them and the bed. I thought it could be ours because we went to Walgreens to get some toiletries. However, when I opened the bag I quickly realized it wasn't ours. Inside the bag was remnants of hollowed out cigars and at least six needle syringes. They included used alcohol wipes with blood on them. Being a police officer of 15 years and one that has personally investigated narcotics cases, I immediately was disgusted. I immediately told my wife to pack up and went to the front desk and confronted them about this. They offered me a refund for my stay which I gladly took and I left. I would never stay there EVER AGAIN. The reviews on various websites show you it is not a good hotel. I would not recommend this as a stay and only went there because it was part of the hidden rate for a popular booking site (whereas we couldn't see name or reviews but could see an 8.8/10 rating) however, after booking the non-refundable room we looked at the reviews and for the first 3 pages it was all 1 star reviews...not sure how one can have an 8.8 rating with so many bad reviews. The good: Well it was close to a lot.... The breakfast wasn't too bad..it was very basic and when we got there everything was already gone in terms of hot food and we went at 7 (opens at 6). So we waited 30 or so minutes to get that replenished. I will say the front desk lady was quite accommodating and nice throughout this. She gave us a room on lower level due to having a young child. She offered us cookies on arrival and was pleasant to deal with. She was the bright side to this trip. Again, do yourself a favor and go a couple blocks up to much better and cleaner hotels. The one we ultimately went to after checking out of here was 1,000,000X better and cleaner and was maybe $20 more.

This USED to be a Place To Stay Look at pics, this place probably hasn't been cleaned in YEARS! TV didn't work, gm REFUSED to let us switch rooms even after front desk stated they had availability. Calling the front desk was a WAsTE of time. On hold for ten minutes, go down to desk, person there just kept letting the phone ring. Gm walks in (tosses his cigarette out the door on the ground), goes to desk and he can't be bothered answering the phone. Gm came up to room to try and fix tv (here for over 1/2 hour REFUSING to let us switch rooms). I'm on the phone checking availability at other properties, unfortunately nothing. Ask for laundry bag and toothpaste in a.m., gm gets bag, starts kidding another employee how he can put the bag over her head. Waiting over 10 minutes, finally another employee gets bag and toothpaste. I believe Choice hotels has a tremendous LIABILITY with this gm. He demonstrates negative behavior to employees, you'll have litigation to deal with. He also smokes CONSTANTLY continually walks outside to smoke and tossing butts on the ground. I have stayed here before, didn't have any issues.
