Choose wisely Marriott located off 85north with easy access to dining, Emory University, CDC, Buckhead, and downtown Atl. Restaurant has paid self-park options at $12 a day, on-site restaurant, pool, gift shop, gym. Pros: -Recent renovations with modern finishes -No carpet in room, mostly hardwood floor with area rug -Leather furniture - In room coffee maker and refrigerator -Location Cons: -No laundry bags -No microwave in room maybe because there is a pest issue they are trying to manage. This is the reason I rated the hotel 3 stars. I had to change rooms when my room was invaded with the largest bug (roach or waterbug) I’d ever seen!!!! The hotel did not apologize, offer anything to compensate for this experience, and didn’t even move my things. For the bug issue, I will not be back and honestly that impacted my entire stay and ability to get proper rest.

Terrible Hotel! Not up to Marriott’s usual standards! This was by far the worst Marriott I have ever stayed at! Did not meet expectations at all. We are not familiar with the Atlanta area and upon arrival felt the neighborhood was a bit shady (signs posted saying don’t leave anything within sight in your car and that the hotel is not responsible for damage or theft, graffiti on the sidewalk). Be prepared to pay $12 for parking. When we left to get something to eat the gate didn’t work with our card and we had to call the hotel to get out. Upon entry the hotel looked nice. When we arrived at our room, we were disappointed with the layout, not that this is anything the staff could change. The bathroom door slides closed (barn door style) but has large cracks. There is no bathroom fan. The shower, toilet and sink are all inside the small bathroom. The hotel has NO vending machines. We tried to buy drinks from the hospitality store, but there were no employees that “had access” to the cash register. They told us to check back after midnight so we did and again the employee didn’t have access, we were luckily able to charge sodas to our room (not sure why the first person didn’t suggest that). The refrigerator in the room did not work. The shower was crazy! The doors kept sliding open while we showered. We spent the entire shower trying to hold the doors shut while showering! When I called the front desk to complain the room phone (corded) was popping and cracking up, so I switched to the cordless phone in the room which was flashing “low battery” even though it had been on the hook all night and nobody used it. I called from my cell phone only to be told by Artis “well I could hear you mam”, well I could not hear you Artis. I really felt like Artis brushed off my complaints, which was very annoying. An employee named Stanley did get ahold of us and agree to waive our parking fee. He at least heard my complaint and seemed apologetic. Won’t stay at this Marriott again.

Not what we expected from Marriott! We stayed here during our cross country vacation in early June. When we checked in, we were told parking would be $12 a night. We were ok with that. No other details were provided about that. Room was very nice and comfortable beds. We checked out and proceeded to leave. At the gate we inserted the parking ticket we received upon entering the property the first time. We paid it. No problem. A few days later we get a charge for $50 from the hotel. I contacted the hotel and spoke with Artis. He stated we were charged for parking and internet. Internet is supposed to be free for Bonvoy members which I am a member. I told him we actually never used the internet because we have it with our provider anyways. And explained I paid parking at the gate. He stated we should not have paid at the gate and they are the ones that charge us. BUT NO ONE TOLD ME THAT. I thought the only way I was to exit the property was to pay at the gate or how else would the gate open. He was very rude and hostile. I told him I didn’t appreciate his attitude and rudeness and I would be contacting corporate. He stated, “You do that!” And hung up on me. I contacted corporate and they filed a case for refund. But what corporate does is contact the manager(Artis) to resolve. He never reached out to me. When I contacted corporate again a week later about no resolution, he told told them he sent me an email. Never did. Finally, corporate took care of me with great customer service. Artis, on the other hand, gives a bad reputation to the Marriott brand. It almost seemed like he made it a personal agenda to dismiss my request for refund.

This Hotel Can't be Beat !!! This hotel offer easy interstate access - easy downtown access. It is located in an office park. You have food, shopping and nightlife nearby. I felt very safe here - I was greeted immediately upon my arrival - the desk clerk was very friendly and knew the ins and outs of the hotel. My room was on the 14th floor - great view of PDK, could watch the planes land. The room was large - liked the wood floors and the sofa. I had a king size bed - very comfortable. The room was clean, the bar was open for dinner, the gift shop had some great items. Liked the way the hotel promoted the food and beverage offerings in the elevators - was also mentioned at check-in. The Starbucks is also open in the lobby it offers breakfast. They offer free on site parking with evening security. The staff communicates with you via text - they want you to be taken care of. This hotel can not be beat - a great overall experience. I will be back here - everything is under on roof.
