Outstanding DAY! Staff goes above & beyond providing quality guest care, and has knowledge hotel and downtown Atlanta! First impressions are lasting- the Residence Inn Atlanta staff does an AMAZING job going above and beyond in making sure their guests are welcomed and given quality customer care. Starting from the staff outside of the Valet inside to the Front desk welcoming smiles of Mr. [‘Bar-Shur-Ree’ , Mr. W and Ms. A] you’ll ALWAYS have a timely check-in’s and wiliness to share with guest, their knowledge of both hotel and the Atlanta area. Next opening the door walking into an immaculate tidy and spacious hotel room. Then awaken from lying on, one of the most comfortable mattress-peacefully rested like you’ve slept a thousands nights! Now the mouthwatering aroma from 2nd floor where talented cook Nadia with the breakfast staff prepare pure deliciousness each day. Beautiful Engaging Ms. Yolanda MichelleP staff (Mr. Darron) accommodating my room request swiftly and accurately. Delightful Mr. [‘Car-Saw-Ree’] assurance of his staff not disturbing late sleep-in mornings. Like Mr [‘Day-Quan’] of engineering just exchanging the batteries in the remote or rest the tv. A sincere greeting of introduction from management team. The stellar leadership of ladies Ms. Tara, Ms. Yancy and last but not least Ms. Leslie, as they show us their appreciation and invitation to visit again. Of course YOU happily will want to come back!

Awful Paid for room in advance but they turned me away. Arrived at 8:45 and tried to check in but the manager at the desk turned to somebody else and said “this is your second walk.” I asked what that meant and he said they were overbooked and had no more rooms even though I’d prepaid (over $1000) weeks before. No real apology. The guy said it was a common practice at their hotel. He acted like he was doing me a favor by stealing my money and sending me to a cheaper hotel in a worse location. In that hotel, not a Marriott, the toilet was broken and dripped water all over the bathroom floor and a group of addicts shouted all night just outside my window. If you want to pay a lot of money and get thrown out onto the street and walk through a sketchy part of downtown Atlanta to a dumpy hotel, then Residence Inn is for you. If you’re looking for minimum standards of decency and honesty, go somewhere else. Marriott should be policing this kind of predatory behavior so ultimately this is on them too.

Wonderful staff, big rooms, not very well maintained The staff was absolutely wonderful from top to bottom - helpful, understanding, and kind. The rooms were ample - tons of space especially for a solo traveler. The breakfast was standard but solid. View out the room wasn’t much - just more buildings close by. The maintenance leaves a lot to be desired. Lights next to the bed didn’t work, the shower pump made a loud noise, the paint was done by someone who didn’t use an edger. For a business stay, though, I had what I needed.

Nasty stay Unacceptable, piece of trash, the ac hasn't worked since last night, it's 11 am and I'm sweating because of the heat, the cleaning lady tried fixing it and she couldn't, I called to report more than an hour ago and they haven't fixed it, I called to complaint and request a complimentary night and the arrogant lady said "well you didn't say anything before",what the he'll is that supposed to mean? I mean, is she implying I'm lying cause I didn't say anything before? I feel so disrespected for the lack of professionalism and disrespect, as if I was lying to get a night, that's the least they should do, I paid almost $200 per night with no discount or anything (even if I had gotten a discount that wouldn't mean they have the right to treat me like trash when I have done nothing at all to them or this nasty hotel to get disrespected in such nasty manner. Never staying at any Marriott ever again.if you don't like being disrespected or be called a liar for pointing out their nasty rooms don't come here.

Christmas Vacation We enjoyed our stay over Christmas! Leslie, Ashley, Williams and the maintenance engineer (sorry, we didn't get his name) were absolutely wonderful. They were beyond helpful with any question or concern we had and were generally kind individuals who care about their guests. Really enjoyed having a full kitchen and a big enough refrigerator for all our food and snacks! Check in to check out was smooth, the breakfast attendant kept fresh, hot food supplied and the hotel was well-kept and properly maintained. The only issue we had was the heating. We were on the 20th floor and our heater never got warmer than 69 degrees our entire stay. We did report this to Leslie and she ended up sending the engineer up to our room but it did not help. Good thing we brought our own blankets. Overall a great stay and we look forward to making this hotel our regular place when we are in town for the games.
