Perfect place to stay during Masters week The Knights Inn on Boy Scout Rd in Augusta, GA is the perfect place to spend Masters week. It is only 1 mile from Magnolia Drive and the entrance to the tournament and just off Washington Rd which is the main strip for the Masters. The room was very comfortable and clean. It's perfect for a guys trip to the Masters as I highly recommend staying here during Masters week. Plus the price is very reasonable when other hotels in Augusta are jacking up their rates and require a 3 night minimum stay.

Good value walking distance to Augusta National The Knight’s Inn is a reasonable option for anyone looking to be within walking distance to Augusta National. Our first room was a smoking room, but the front desk made the switch when I requested a non-smoking room - much to my relief. Overall the room was clean and met our needs. We spent every day at the Masters and we’re ready for bed by the time we got home. There is daily housekeeping service - a rarity even at larger and more luxurious properties, and the staff was unfailingly cheerful, polite and helpful. Hairdryers are available upon request, and the mini fridge came in handy. There’s also a basic breakfast available each morning. If you’re attending the Masters, leave your car at the motel and walk - it’s much faster given the traffic. Turn right when you exit the motel, and follow the pathway behind the businesses on Washington to Publix where you’ll find yourself at D2 parking. It’s about 20 minutes from the motel to the North Gate.

Rooms dirty and smell bad The smell of the smoke attempted to be covered with chemicals was awful and stayed the whole time we were there. Carpets were very dirty and covered with paint splatters. I wouldn't walk around without shoes on in this place. Shower pressure was good, the staff was nice and the golf course is walkable but without sidewalks makes it a little challenging.

You get what you pay for $60 cash gets you what it gets you. The room was quiet. It was a smoking room so I always expect some degree of odor. The carpets were wet like they had just literally taken a hose to the whole room and it smelled like wet carpet. The fridge was unplugged when I got there so I had to wait about an hour to empty my cooler which wasn’t a big deal. The top lock on the door was not secure so I had to push a chair in front of the door. The mattress and pillows were clean. It definitely needs an upgrade and to have the carpet ripped out of the room I stayed in. The handles for the shower were loose and the ceiling of the shower looked dirty so I didn’t bother. It was quiet and nothing bad happened to my car and I didn’t get bedbugs so for 60 bucks.... it is what it is.

BETTER THAN EXPECTED EXPERIENCE We booked for this 2019 Masters relatively late and with certain doubts. However, the good location of the hotel (walking distance from Augusta National) and reasonable price helped us to select this hotel and it was a good choice. Aside from the location, the hotel]s¨attention was really great and helpful (Swaty the hotel manager is 100 %), the installations are ok (should work in some details like the carpet, better towels) but if you compare with other hotels (price/benefits at Masters week) probably Knights Inn is one of the best options. If we have the chance to get tickets again (hopefully) we would return for sure !!
