Comfortable Stay Needed to stay in Baltimore for a week unexpectedly. I found this hotel to be comfortable, clean, and safe. Covid makes for strange times so food and drinks are not available at this time. The staff is a delight to interact with. It’s location is fantastic, within minutes of anything in Baltimore City. The campus itself of Cross Keys is very quiet and safe. We were really pleased with our stay.

This hotel does not honor reservations We made a reservation June 1 2021 for 3 rooms in early September and were given a confirmation number. We called today to reconfirm and were told that all reservations from this weekend on until the end of the year have been CANCELLED, apparently because there is a corporate client they like better that wants the whole hotel. They say they were going to help us rebook at hotels 10-20 MILES AWAY. We booked this specific hotel because it is within walking distance of our house. And they didn't even call us to tell us. So, make a reservation at this hotel at your own peril- and I note that YOU CAN STILL MAKE THEM!- they will cancel you whenever they feel like it.

Ok but not quite as advertised The front desk staff could not have been nicer and the hotel is quite clean. It’s quite secluded and in a quiet location. Bed and bedding all very comfortable. AC worked well. It’s June 2021 but almost feels like it’s still 2020 here because the on-site amenities like the restaurant, fitness center, and pool are all still closed “due to Covid”. Ok, they are doing the best they can, but their website made no mention of this. I should have packed snacks. Based on the listed amenities I was also expecting a mini-fridge and hair dryer in my room but neither were provided until I called the front desk. Evidently they are only available upon request (and subject to availability) so just keep that in mind if those things are important to you.

Dirty and smelly Front desk wrote the wrong room number on our key, then when we finally got the correct room and walked in, the smell of stale cigarette smoke was overpowering, the pillows had hair on them and smelled like sweat. After complaining we were sent to a better room, but the pillows still smelled awful. Will never stay here again.

AVOID THIS MOTEL This hotel should be closed. After many years of witnessing a gradual deterioration in this property, conditions today warrant closure. Surly front desk personnel (particularly Keith), unclean rooms ( full trash can in our room at check-in), no towels in room ( staff would not deliver - I had to pick up), unwillingness to service room (requested) all combine for a terrible experience
