Clean, comfortable, quiet hotel. The hotel reception was friendly & helpful, especially in recommending the excellent restaurant/brew pub "Oggi's" which is less than a mile from the hotel. Oggi's was the highlight of our stay for both food and beer! The hotel was clean and well set up, breakfast was good -- and it would be much nicer if real plates, bowls, utensils could be used instead of paper plates/bowls, plastic utensils. Overall, a clean, comfortable, quiet hotel which we recommend.

Disappointing stop over Not the most welcoming of arrivals, couldn’t take their AirPods out whilst serving us. Room was as you would expect, (two queen bed) bath was small, but shower was powerful. Blinds were closed on our arrival so we went to let daylight in but found them to be broken (hence closed I suppose). Corridors smelt of mildew. Pool had a sign on stating out of use but reception staff stated we could use… questionable pool was green in colour and couldn’t see the floor! (We don’t use it!) Restrooms by reception were not air conditioned and were smelly (we went back to our room). Complimentary breakfast was adequate, nothing special. It was certainly a quick stop over hotel nothing more. In and out as quick as we could.

Just okay, poor maintenance. The place is generally pretty clean. Maintenance is really disappointing. No ice machines working, broken doors, and a pretty sad breakfast with none of their signature cinnamon rolls. The rolls are minor but the maintenance is a deal breaker. They also let homeless folks help themselves to the breakfasts.

Not the same hotel it once was. I rarely write a negative review, but I was very disappointed in our most recent visit to the Holiday Inn at the Outlets in Barstow. We have stayed in this hotel numerous times going back to when it was the Ayers Hotel. We have always chosen this hotel after our initial stay was so positive with a positive and friendly staff and quiet stay. Not any more. I checked on line to see if they had availability. There were many rooms available and I called the front desk to book a room. The first young lady I talked with affirmed they had many rooms available, including the standard king room. As we were traveling I lost connection and called back. Now the front desk told me the standard king room was not available, and they only had the king suite. I told her I was just talking to someone who said there were many rooms available. She replied that they were all booked. I told her there showed availability on their website. She told me to then book on the website, and asked did I want the suite or not? I took the suite, but then asked if they gave discounts for seniors, AAA, etc. She said which one. I won’t go on relaying this conversation, but it was spiraling down and did not get any better. When we arrived, I could swear the person at the front desk was the same one I talked with, but she said her name was Amber while the other said her name was Regina. However, the attitude was the same….there was no eye contact, wrong price was quoted, very rude and short answers to the point my husband had to just walk away in frustration. This was the first time we had stayed on the second floor….we usually stayed higher up. We also had never stayed in this particular wing of the hotel. There was considerable noise from the freeway. I did call the corporate office to complain about the treatment, lack of professionalism, no personnel with name tags. They asked if I would like a call from the GM and I said I would so I could be reassured this was being addressed or we would not stay here again. I have not received any communication from anyone.

awesome staff I checked in at the hotel on Sunday, April 7. I had the pleasure of meeting Miss Janet at the front desk to attend me and my co worker for checked in. She took care of us right away and have our room assigned in a flash. She was very attentive with a great smile explaining us of what the hotel offered and what’s close by around the hotel. She is and efitome of a public relation for your establishment. Thank you Miss Janet and keep up the great work.
