very pleasant people We stayed here for 5 nights and 6 days. We enjoyed it because people were very friendly and always there whenever we needed anything. Yes, they do not serve breakfast, but your apartment suite is yours to use, with a full size fridge, stove with burners, microwave, and lots of storage space for you to buy what you want to use during the time you are there. They do not service on a daily basis BUT you can ask for whatever you need, even if you want towels every day. The bed was comfy and you could chose between soft or firm pillows. Great choices for channels on the TV. Only complaint is that I thought the cupboard where you could buy food was sparse but there is a Kroger grocery across the street where you can buy what you will need. This is an extended stay hotel.

Poor quality I booked this hotel for one night online and reviews were generally good. However, the stove didn’t work, the hairdryer was broken, the microwave also. There were only 2 towels in the suite and to get more towels we would have had to “exchange” our towels. I sent a complaint to the online concierge and he/she said they would report it to the manager. Corporate should be aware of how bad their hotel is being run. Choose another hotel!

Not sure what you're paying for here Of all the IHG properties I've visited in in 40 years of traveling, I think this one had to be the worst experience. I really don't know what it is you're paying for. There's no breakfast; no daily housekeeping; no pool; the coffee in the lobby is undrinkable; the rooms are small (my wife had to get into bed from my side because there was no room to walk on one side of the bed); there was no tub; horrible smell every time you return to the room (air conditioning shuts off when you leave so the room air is stale); wifi was extremely slow; wifi and TV down several times during our week long stay; and the entrance/exit is on a very dangerous road while there is an access road with traffic light adjacent to the property but not connected to the parking lot. Looks like owners were trying to save a buck on this site. Not the IHG quality I'm used to. There are tons of other places to stay in Baytown these days - stay elsewhere!

Last Minute Choice I stayed here on a business trip that didn't allow me to know where I would end up that evening. Called TowneSuites first (I'm a Marriott Platinum Rewards Member) and was rudely told they didn't have room and did not offer to find other lodging as they are required to (I will be updating their review) Called Candlewood and was pleasantly greeted and told that there was one room available with 2 queen beds which was fine. They held the room for me with my name only, the room was clean and neat, had basic DirecTv. My only complaint is they had a clock that was impossible to set. Check out was a breeze. It was disappointing that there was no breakfast which seems to be standard now at most hotels (yes even the ones with full kitchens)

Horrible! No breakfast! No housekeeping! Overpriced!!! rrible! Do not stay here! I travel to Baytown very often so well versed with the area, this Candlewood looks good in pictures but reality is completely different, you walk in to the smell of mildew. Room smells aswell and when I asked for a refund the receptionist Ana clearly said NO! very rude and no respect for the customer, also the night staff only come to sleep at the desk. Rooms are OVERPRICED, no breakfast no housekeeping! Better options in this price range with breakfast in the area are Best western, Spring Hill, Baymont, Holiday In. Save your money and run to the next hotel .. Baytown is full of hotels!
