Guest beware for your health and safety We stayed in this hotel this past weekend for a family reunion and was totally disrespected, mistreated, placed in two rooms that were completely disgusting. The first room (208) the mattress was so nasty. It looked like somebody had been peeing on it for years. There was a smell room also some type of machine used to , I guess clean the air. The phones were not connected the first room was missing the phone cord to the handset to call out. Going down to the front desk to make a formal complaint, the manager wouldn’t even come in the room, but yet put us in another room, which was as bad (206) , it also had a moly smell. The air condition was coming apart and leaking. Also, the floor beneath the air condition was caving in when you stepped in that area. Your foot got soaking wet. We were told that was good as it was going to get. also when we told we will place a review , we were told to do whatever. When we called the number for the corporate office, we were told that each hotel is independently manage, and the manager has full discretion. I was getting in the elevator later that day and a hotel. Stafford jumped on the elevator with a balled up mattress topper under his arm and went into the first room, and I believe they replaced the mattress topper and still rented that room out to someone else. If you stay at this hotel, I would definitely pull the sheets back and check the mattress topper then check the mattress ..This hotel should be completely from front to bottom and also if you check the reviews you will also see the other complaints as recent as within days.

You have been warned!!! Do Not Stay Here!!!! I wish I would have read the reviews prior to booking. They are all true. This is a franchise hotel and they can care less about the up keep. We arrived and checked in staff was ok, we made way to our room. The Hallways had a dingy smell like dirty carpet, But when we opened the door it had a mildew/moldy smell and a little white machine was on floor I figured humidifier or to dry something out. Carpet looks dirty and patchy, mattress and mattress cover nasty tried call front desk but missing cord. So needed to walk down to front desk Manager/Owner came up did not look at room just changed us to a double room which was fine as long Bed was clean, which was and looked new and fresh. But this room dirty walls with spots, dirty patchy carpet, room smells little musty. Air conditioning was leaking by window and floor weak like it gonna fall through and floor was wet. Bathroom tub looked dirty and stained and needs a good cleaning. Towels were clean and fresh. Fitness room tiny and equipment was rusted and worn. Breakfast was ok, no fresh brew coffee not sure what it was. Breakfast staff was friendly. There is a homeless camp behind the hotel. This hotel need to be good cleaning and updated. There were so many complaints and about mildew and cleanliness of this hotel from other guests. There is 150.00 incidents hold. That should have been a sign to run. We had family at this hotel did not want to leave them but I wish we all would have left this Motel. It made a stressful visit. The Manager tried to make it better accommodations but whole hotel was bad only way he could’ve help is refund and book another hotel. Again Honestly Beware!!! Stay here at your our risk.

Loss of food No _ credit & Bugs I booked two rooms for me and my team members for a 3 night stay. The 1st time we tried to use the microwave, the door got jamed and wouldn't reopen. There was over $50 worth of food stuck inside it. The front desk came to open it with a screwdriver. At that time, the gentleman said that he would place a $30 credit on our room. I've called 4 times asking for the manager or owner regarding this matter, it's now been over 2 weeks with no return call nor credit. The front desk said to call back to speak with the manager, I've left 4 messages. Had that person called back, I wouldn't be writing this review. To top things off... Our 2nd room had trash in the only trash can in the room when we checked in. We also killed 3 bugs during our 3 day stay. Please stay far away from this property! They don't care about you and need an exterminator.

Poor hotel If I was able to give a lower number than one I would. We arrived on the 5th of April. Upon entering our room there was a cockroach on the wall and remnants of food littered beneath the pull-out couch, which is where my daughter was to sleep. There were revolting stains on the curtains as well. When we went to complain there were no other rooms available. We had to run out quickly at 10:30 pm to find a store open to get supplies in order to sleep in the room. We bought garbage bags for our luggage so no other cockroaches would get in (if there were any more) and also picked up Lysol and bug spray. When we finally got the room debugged in order to finally sleep it was near midnight. We were then woken by the fire alarm at 12:45 am … because somebody was smoking marijuana in their room which you could smell throughout the floor. We had to evacuate the building as the Fire Department was on their way to assess the hotel. Finally we got to bed and slept at 2am. Had to get up at 6am for the Marine Graduation. We barely had four hours of sleep after driving 15+ hours to get to SC. The next day after the graduation was complete we got in contact with the general manager of the building, Steven Baker. Even after all the issues with the food on the floor and bugs in the room they didn’t even clean the room while we were out! Despite voicing our grievances to Steven Baker, the general manager, our concerns were met with token gestures, a mere $20 discount that hardly covered the expenses we incurred to salvage our stay. As he said “I can’t give you more money off because you got the early booking rate”. So we already got a discount? He said I could give you points towards my membership… point towards a stay I will most likely not have in the time allowed for the points to be used, no thanks. He told me I couldn’t use the points for this next day either. He then told us he would ¨let us¨ leave to go find another hotel for our last night's stay. How generous since all hotels were booked for the graduation, that’s why we got it booked so far in advance. Furthermore, the lack of accountability was glaring, with Mr. Baker deflecting responsibility and offered minimal recourse. Luckily we were able to switch to a new room for the last night we were there as a few rooms did open up. I asked to speak to a regional manager … he said there was none. I asked if there was somebody over him I would be able to speak with… he said there was not. So he has the final say on the building … but… he couldn’t give us a bigger discount? BS, or he was not caring about the customer and just worried about losing $100 or so more. Cheap guy or IHG group is cheaping out on customers. I emailed IHG and have yet to hear back from a few weeks ago. In my four decades of hotel stays, this was the worst stay, marked by sleep deprivation, pest infestation, and blatant disregard for guest welfare. The management's indifference and reluctance to address our concerns reflect poorly on both Steven Baker and the IHG group, raising serious questions about their commitment to customer satisfaction. I implore prospective guests, especially those considering IHG properties, to exercise caution and explore alternative accommodations. As for Comfort Suites Beaufort, steer clear unless you're prepared to endure substandard conditions and unresponsive management. In summary, my stay at Comfort Suites Beaufort epitomized a nightmare, underscoring the importance of accountability. IHG was far from a welcoming experience, true hospitality qualities were sorely lacking in this establishment.
