Disappointing No way to call someone up to the front desk, so we stood around forever until some unfriendly guy finally came around the corner to check us in. Booked a suite, was given a normal room, was condescendingly told it was the third party booking site’s fault by the same guy after standing around at the desk for another five minutes. That’s fine, I can call the third party site, but we booked a suite so we could have a fridge and microwave, which the normal room does not come with. We had to throw our leftovers away. Bed only had two VERY flat pillows, so I woke up with back and neck pain. Bed’s headboard is a gigantic mirror, and the lack of pillows makes it so if you want to sit up and lean against the wall, you’re leaning against a mirror. Our window faced a Walmart parking lot, and it didn’t even have a privacy shutter/curtain. We had to choose between having some natural light in the morning, or letting everyone in the Walmart parking lot look into our room. There are no dim lamps, so the room has to either be super bright or completely dark. Not ideal when one person wants to go to bed before the other. The room looks nothing like the pictures I was shown. There’s supposed to be a cushioned bench by the window, ours was just a hard surface, like a shelf. The tv is haphazardly mounted to the top of the wardrobe at an angle that makes you feel like it’s going to slide off and fall to the floor. Kind of cracked, gross looking wallpaper in the bathroom. The bathroom mirror is framed with really tacky paper, which isn’t something I care about but it adds to the cheap feel. This room also has one of those doors connecting you to the room next door, which wasn’t pictured. Website says fitness center is open til 12am, but there was a sign posted saying it closed at 11pm. It also said you’d have to get a key for it from the front desk. You know, the front desk where it takes 10 minutes for anyone to come help you. Website says they have free continental breakfast, but it’s just a handful of carb loaded items like cereal, muffins, etc. No protein. Had to go elsewhere for an actual meal. This was an extremely disappointing stay after staying at the Microtel over in Inver Grove, where we were immediately welcomed by friendly staff, the room looked exactly as pictured, and the lobby had seating for eating the breakfast that they actually served.

Awesome place to stay Quite nice place to just relax, and it's close to the airport. The only suggestion I would give is to add shuttle service

very personable staff I'd stay again in a heartbeat! Felt like I was seen and cared for. The staff member was a great multi-task person and kept the flow of guests arriving

Review of Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Bloomington The people at the front desk were helpful in straightening out a snag regarding my reservation. However, I had to call Expedia twice from my hotel room in order to accomplish this task. During the second call, Expedia had to call the hotel to assist in this endeavor. And I got a discount from the hotel, in large part because of this snafu. The hotel bed was lumpy. But overall, a good value.
