Great Stay. Kudos to the staff. We stayed the night while in town for an event at App State. The front desk was polite and welcoming. We forgot our key in our room and she was understanding and helpful. We had drinks and a Starbucks drink for our daughter in the evening at the Bistro. The young woman behind the bar was working alone but she did a fantastic job. She was friendly and kept all the patrons happy and never stopped working. We would stay again .. the “no free breakfast” is not a deal breaker there are tons of places near by that do great breakfast.

Pricy with NO breakfast Checked in with Jillian who said no upgrades available and our room was ready (it was 4:30 pm) I said as long as it’s not next to the elevator and she replied it was but kindly found us another room on 3rd floor! There was a king bed, desk (no pen or paper) small mini fridge and a decent sized bathroom with a walk in double shower! The lobby is fresh and clean and inviting with lots of seating; there is also outside seating with fire pits, a small indoor pool and small fitness center! There is a bistro to order drinks or breakfast or dinner but costs are steep! On site parking is free! What was most disappointing was that there was no breakfast included! Many nights were spent at Marriott through the years to obtain our Titanium status, and Even in Europe where breakfast is not included, they value our titatium status and give us a free breakfast in their onsite restaurant! For $200 a night for a standard room, breakfast should be included especially for titanium members! This was first time, we did not get breakfast included at a Marriott brand hotel! To add insult to injury, the HBO did not work and it kept saying to try again later! We booked directly through Marriott and our room was non refundable and no changes were allowed!, but had we checked booking.com or TripAdvisor first, prices were cheaper and all the other hotels offered FREE breakfast! So do your homework and check other sites-and don’t rely on Marriott to be the cheapest! Feel we should be compensated for no HBO and no breakfast!

Nice, clean but breakfast not included No breakfast included. Can purchase from very limited $$ choices. We had brought food to eat in room and ate out at times. Small refrigerator that didn’t keep our milk cold enough. Had to ask for a microwave be brought to our room. TINY bedside table not functional. Not enough charging plugs. Building / room clean, neat. Within walking distance of a couple of fast food places. Short drive to some tourist attractions. Off main drag with many options fir shopping: groceries, clothes, etc.

Worst Marriott experience... I only gave 2, because the room was clean, and beds comfortable, that's it. Lobby may be renovated, but rooms (at least ours) are not, one can hear all cars noise and hallway talking, AC . We arrived after 10pm, exhausted... early AM, looking for water: NO water bottle in room, nobody picked up the phone from front desk. (yes, one could drink tap water, I don't from unkown source, old hotels pipes...). So, next morning (and still no answer) I step to front desk, asking for water. - Hmm, the vending machine is here... (sorry, I didn't spot the machine when arrived exhausted). Ok, what about in room water? - Not in room, COVID. First time, so many years with Marriott, experienced such an Attitude... It's not about entitlement, (I don't waist my time for $7), its the Unacceptable behavior... and again, I would give it to the hotel management, if, if the front desk rep didn't have this attitude!!! I was so upset, didn't even take her name...

Pleasant surprise My wife and I had never been to Boone and we chose this hotel because we are Mariott Bonvoy members. Great hotel and good price. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Gave us a good recommendation for dinner. Room was clean and fresh. We'll definitely stay here again.
