Drugs, Bugs, Rodents and Feral Cats Please let me save you a nightmare of an experience. In all the decades of travel, including to a variety of third world countries, this was hands down the worst motel I have ever visited. My family and I were trying to escape power outages from recent hurricane and thought Brenham would be our answer. Theresa the receptionist, I use that term loosely, was unconcerned with the fact that we booked online and she could not find our reservation. She charged me again even though I booked online. She told me to go stay somewhere else--which we did. I eventually got a refund. Crickets in bathtub, mold on walls, drugs outside of our room, plates of cat food and stray cats roaming around.

Stay somewhere else I would not recommend this place to anyone and payed way to much for the room we stayed in. The room smelled and the a/c didn't keep the room cool. There was no blanket on the bed, just a sheet. dead bugs on the floor. The door to go between the room next door was taped with packing and duct tape. The toilet was filthy and ran all the time. The shower tiles were caved in around the handles and the tub was filthy also. The pool was discusting too, and there is obvisously people who live there, they were out grilling and drinking .Doesn't give you a safe feeling to use the pool even it was clean. The grounds in the back were unkept and overgrown with weeds. Our last night there we couldn't find a place to park the back by our room was full of big trucks.Next year when we come to the antique show we will be staying somewhere else.

Softball Tournament I asked for a handicap room on the first floor. I received one but it was on the back side of the building that no official parking. Thankfully, there was a gravel truck parking behind the hotel. I was able to drive up to the hotel door on the grass and drop off my relatives and then park the truck back on the other side of the hotel. Also, lots of people appear to live here also. Couches and reclines out the sidewalk area. Only plugs by the bed were hidden behind the bed. I have to pull the bed away for the wall to plug in cell phone charger and CPAP machine.

Another good stay We've stayed here several times when in the area. The staff is friendly and courteous, and the rooms were in good condition. This motel is .close to restaurants and shopping places of all types. The pricing is reasonable.

Try another hotel We rented 3 rooms..two were passable but my room was old, dark, musty and smelled of mold. The AC looked as if had been there for at least 15 yeas of rough ware and it didn't work. I asked for another room and was given a room upstairs and as far away from the stairs as possible. I am handicapped and getting my luggage up the stairs with my cane was extremely difficult. Even the better two room lacked amenities . The over all appearance is one of neglect
