Top notch Jacob at the front desk was so accommodating. He gave use anything extra we forgot. He made the stay at the hotel amazing. He even went above and beyond to tell us a weather update because he knew we weren’t from the area. He called me by first name and would say “welcome back “ when we would return. He made my experience at the hotel amazing and I’d recommend this hotel to anyone.

Needs to be cleaned This is an older property and even for a one night stay we were disappointed by the cleanliness , the room was dirty and very visibly dusty. The bathroom was also not clean. The bed was soft. Breakfast was good. If you're here and need a meal check out Bee's Bistro which is very nearby, the food was really good.

Avoid this property, advice from a not super picky traveler I have been an IHG Platinum Elite for several years and enjoy the IHG brands/generally have good experiences. I also visit Bridgeville where this property is located at least once a year to visit relatives. I have stayed at this property several times in the past but I will never be staying at it again. The issue at this hotel is basic cleanliness, plain and simple. I am not super picky but when it's unclear if the toilet seat has been cleaned, that's where I draw the line. The first king bed room we checked into had a clogged toilet when we first arrived. I called the front desk and they said the only thing they had open was a king suite on a different floor. We took that option. Upon arriving at the king suite, we noticed trash on the floor near the couch. Much more concerning, we noticed brown material on the toilet seat in the bathroom. We called and said we hated to be annoying but this was disgusting and unacceptable. At this point (1am in the morning), the only option was an accessible king with a doorless shower. We decided to take it. Incredibly, this room also had a dirty toilet seat with brown material on the seat! (I"m not going to guess what the material was, one way or the other.). We called down yet again and I do want to give a shout out to the front desk associate who was nice throughout this experience and apologized. She ended up deciding to come up herself to clean the toilet and given we didn't want to move into a fourth room, we reluctantly decided to stay. Other issues: -Because the accessible shower had no door and a floor even with the rest of the bathroom, water went everywhere and we used up all towels soaking up the water. When I tried to get more towels, I waited 10 minutes because no one was at the front desk (this was a different person as it was during the day). I ended up so frustrated that I went into the linen storage room myself, where I discovered the front desk worker chilling in a break room, eating snacks with colleagues. When they noticed me, they didn't even approach to help me. -Kleenex box was left almost empty so we had to ask for additional tissues. But honestly this is a very minor issue - I would never write a review over this.

DO NOT STAY HERE First, I stayed here twice in a one month period since it was close to family and had hoped to make this a regular stay place as it was convenient. So this is not based on one bad experience but is based on a horrible 2nd stay experience and not great first stay. In both cases the remote would not turn on the TV. The first time I let it go as it happened. On the 2nd visit we checked into our room and again the TV would not work. As I was leaving I told the 3rd shift desk person of my issues. When I returned he advised it was fixed and no worries anymore. He was wrong. TV would not turn on. He was clueless. Gave me new batteries, and several remotes. Would not work. Came to my room declaring he knew nothing about TVs and could really only run the one in the lobby. I was not happy but never swore, yelled, etc. Expressed my frustration and concern. He proceeded to tell me he was not comfortable in our interactions, called me rude, left the room, no operating TV. I finally figured out you had to hold the actual power button on the TV(not remote) push it through several modes and finally got a picture. Not an easy task and not something I should have to do. Wife then went to take a shower. No soap in the shower bottle. Had to go to the lobby again to request that. Voiced my frustration and concerns again. He called me rude. Told me he did not appreciate how I was talking to him and actually questioned my mental status by asking me several times "are you ok?" Seriously. I have stayed at Holiday Inns for over 25 years for business and pleasure and never treated like this. The 3rd shift desk clerk at this hotel should not be in the service industry. He has zero customer service skills. There were two couples that had issues with bookings in front of us at check in and he had no idea how to handle their issues. Had to turn it over the the other clerk. When I told him about my initial TV issue he stated "I dont know what to do" and handed it over to her again while we were gone. Also, on both visits the food was cold. Now I know its not a gourmet breakfast and you get what it is but for $225 a night I expect a working tv, comfy bed, good service and warm food. Only got the comfy bed. Can get that anywhere. And now they put envelopes in the rooms for you to tip housekeeping. No soap but soliciting a tip. Come on now !!! Pay your staff so they dont have to live off tips from those of us already paying a premium price. DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL. Find another Holiday Inn. I will. Been and IHG member for many many years. Meaningless here. Never offered anything to compensate for my issues other than a drink from their supply. I declined.

GOOD PLACE AND LOCATION. In the first place. Miss Courtney's front desk, (I hope written right). Professional and friendly. The hotel is in a good location, safe and quiet. The room is very good size, clean. Everything worked in the room. Great internet and business center worked. Basic breakfast for Holiday Inn. I will stay again
