Not good Unfortunately I cannot avoid to stay there at times, but it is always a pain. The rooms are tired as is the rest of this hotel. Strange layout of the bathroom with partly a carpet adds to the excitement..

Run and don’t look back! We are doing a large renovation on our home nearby and chose Marriott Mt. Olive to stay for approximately 1 month. I called in advance to see if our room was ready and they said it was but when we arrived the room had no oven. I’m here for a month so I need an oven. They found a room available on the 3rd floor. It was extremely dirty, kitchen was greasy and the floor is sticky. The shower/ bath combo didn’t drain, and you didn’t have an option for tub or shower since the diverter part was rusted shut. I had no other choice but to stay since every hotel around was sold out. I’m glad I had all my cleaning supplies since I had to clean the room. Was told that management is cleaning the rooms. Asked for towels and they had none. When we woke the next morning we had no AC. Maintenance came with a filter it did nothing to improve the AC. The temperature in the room is a constant 80 degrees. No other rooms available. Sorry is what we got. No gym, no pool, no amenities. Look elsewhere!!!!!! By the way the picture of the thermostat was taken at 9am.

Read before you book a stay I booked a room at this hotel and was dismayed by the morning sewage odor at the rear of the building. The source was apparently outdoors as the smell was worse there but it seeped into the room and it was quite bad. To make matters worse, the hotel double billed me for a reservation that was prepaid through the most common hotel booking website. I called them twice and they acknowledged the error both times and assured they would correct it but they never did. It's a Marriott but apparently a franchise run by people unfamiliar with the standards in our country for hygine and ethical business practices. Look elsewhere for accomodations.

TERRIBLE STAY Been staying at this hotel waiting for my Home to be fixed I was given a set up rate and told of I needed to extend there wouldn't be a problem they upped the rate on me , Several sarcastic employees General Manager Rude Director of Sales name is Tara and to say she is rude and sarcastic is an understatement very unprofessional and that's just half the problems The hotel is filthy First floor hallway smells like Dog Urine and mildew. Never ever offered housekeeping! couch in my room broken and I asked for a replacement they just pretended that I didn't ask, Laundry room filthy machines never wiped down been out of order for a month I have never had a more unpleasant stay anywhere if I was not in the circumstances I am in I would have moved out! And they well know this hotel is a run down piece of crap unlike any Marriott I've ever stayed in I have talked to many unsatisfied guests at this hotel I'm not sure why were still there! I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL IF YOU HAVE ANY OTHER CHOICE ID CHOOSE IT I thought with Covid hotels we're supposed to Be alot cleaner Should have known when my dishwasher had dirty dishes in it the day I moved in to turn around and walk out!

Just a shadow of its former quality This residence inn is but a shadow of its former self. The shrubbery around the inn is choked with weeds that are 2 to 3 feet tall. There has not been any yard care in months. Only one elevator was operating, leading to unnecessary delays when striving to maintain social distancing. Our door to unit 220 stuck, so that you had to push/pull hard to get it open or closed. The couch was dirty, we cleaned it with our Lysol wipes. The dishwasher was full of dishes, some dirty. The trash basket under the sink is just a tiny bathroom trash basket, too small for the remnants and trash from any respectable delivered meal. The 'breakfast' was 1 small apple, 1 small muffin, and 1 small granola bar...tied up in a plastic bag with a knot so tight we had to cut it open (good thing we had scissors with us). If you want hot coffee on departure, you best leave early, as they turn off the coffee machines at 9:30. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable and the unit was quiet. Otherwise we would give this Residence Inn a bottom rating.
