Shocked they call it a Hilton. Where do I begin with this property. This was a last minute missed connection layover where my wife and I needed a place to get some rest for 6 hours. As Hilton Diamond, we decided to go to the first Hilton shuttle at the airport at 10:30 at night. Wow, was this a massive disappointment. The digital key didn't work when we got to the room. The room itself wreaked of smoke, had a horrible bell sounding noise off an on the entire night, seemingly like a flag pole was anchored to the outside of our room, our AC "clicked" on an off all night and when it went on it was unbelievably loud but when it went off even the fan didn't move any air. All in all we got out of there an hour before we intended because we both couldn't sleep and agreed we would rather sit at SFO than spend any further time at this property.

My Roller Bag was Taken By Someone From the Lobby of Hilton Bayfront San Francisco Upon checkout on Sunday Morning April 14, I got my own car and my lady waited in the lobby with our bags. I pulled the car up and saw her carrying her own bag out of the lobby and no hotel staff helped her. It was chilly and I let her into the warm car and stored her bag in the trunk. We were in a hurry to get to church that morning and left my bag accidently in the lobby. I discovered my bag not with us and immediately called the hotel to see where it was. They were less than enthusiastic to help me. Then my bag didn't show up. Why staff didn't secure my bag and store it in the baggage room, is beyond me. So, finally, after repeated attempts, I filed a report and after weeks received a response from the insurance company that the hotel wasn't responsible for my bag value. The claims adjustor said that I left my bag without informing the hotel. Despite a written statement from the traveler with me, who questioned this since we checked out and why would we take a bag and leave another? It comes down to the insurance company not wanting to pay a claim. The hotel main manager was rude to me, a long time Hilton Honors Member, hanging up on me a couple of times when I questioned his decision to side with the erroneous insurance decision. I was told to file a police report. Instead, I first contacted Hilton Worldwide. The Guest Services rep listened to me, agreed and I guess filed an issue for me. As it turns out, corporate has no say on these matters and sent it back to the hotel manager. How is this customer care? Therefore, as a consumer who had a legitimate security claim, I have choices and refuse to stay at any Hilton Brands going forward. I happen to travel a lot and they will lose my business and probably anyone who reads this. So, I am telling what happened to warn other potential guest that there are poor service issues at the Hilton Bayfront San Francisco, and it comes from top down with John Kettles, who doesn't understand hospitality. Teena Hernandez, the bright spot of the staff at this location, should have John's job.

Nice rooms poor service Hotel is a distance from downtown SFO. Okay for flight layover stays, but too far for visiting SFO. Arrived at hotel 5pm. System was down and could not be issued room keys. Had to be escorted by staff to gain access to elevators and open the e room to get settled. First room assigned already had occupant in the room. Finally got settled in a room. Requested for towels. After 5 calls and 6 hours, still no towels. Eventually told to come down and get towels from front desk. Told “they put in a request, but don’t know what is happening as towels never arrive.

Excellent shuttle if you are arriving late Overnight stay. Shuttle available till 0030, which is one of the main reasons I chose this place since we arrived around 2345 and waited 20 minutes for the shuttle. Shuttle back to the airport was prompt. Rooms now are very dated. This was a breakfast inclusive rate and the system is a bit bizarre since you still need to sign a cheque/bill even though it is buffet and pre-paid but the expect you to pay a tip for a random amount. A bot disappointing but I guess it is the American system. Since the price was ok and the main thing we needed was the shuttle, this was ok for us. There are better hotels around for this price point but not all have regular shuttles.
