A great stay near the SFO Airport! We had great service at the frond desk with Kathy and Joash. They helped with directions, where to get gas and a good places to eat. The Housekeeping personnel were very good and accommodating. The kitchen employees were so friendly and helpful, as well. All in all a great 3 night stay in an excellent location near the SFO Airport

Unpleasant hotel stay at Holiday Inn Express Airport South We have almost always been satisfied with our previous stays in different hotels- that is, until my wife and I booked a room at the Holiday Inn Express SFO Airport South on July 11,2024. The day before our flight to SFO, I called the hotel to ask about the schedule of their airport to hotel shuttles and was told the last scheduled run was at 5:30 p.m. Because our flight landed only at 8:45 p.m., we took a taxi to Holiday Inn Express, but while waiting to be checked in at the front desk, (the clerk checking us in was visibly chewing gum)- what do we see but a hotel shuttle dislodging hotel guests! We were obviously given inaccurate information and spent $25 for the taxi when it was unnecessary. Upon going to our room, we saw that the room didn’t even have the usual complimentary bottles of water we have gotten in every hotel we have stayed in. When I inquired, the front desk clerk told me the water was provided only for IHG reward members -which we were not. And yet, the website lists -under Room Amenities -complimentary bottled water. The room had a coffee maker and coffee pods, but what use could they have if there was no water provided? I then asked the unhelpful and indifferent clerk if the hotel tap water was safe to drink, and much to my surprise and consternation, she was not even sure and neither did she try to find out. Isn’t that such a basic piece of information she should know? Another thing we were dismayed with was that the keys for Housekeeping, Room Service, Wake up Call, etc had been removed from the room telephone keypad. While the bathroom was clean enough, when we got into bed, there was a strand of hair on the bedsheet. Gross! For sure, this would be our first and last stay here- and DO NOT recommend at all!

酒店人手不足,早餐廳設計不佳 Understaffed Hotel with An Inadequate Great Room Design It took an extremely long time to check in. The hotel was clearly understaffed. Breakfast was a zoo, and the Great Room definitely was not designed to fit the number of guests, so many people had to take food and eat somewhere upstairs, which was just so inconvenient. On the plus side, the hotel upgraded me to a spacious suite thanks to my Diamond Élite membership. They also have a free shuttle bus to/from airport.

Extremely bad experience with this hotel. Read before you book it. I and my wife checked in at Holiday Inn Express San Francisco Airport South around 10pm. The hotel front sliding door was not working. A belt hung from the door motor. The hotel left a gap, a little wider than my shoulder width, for guests to get through. The man at front desk greeted us with a poker face. I tried to get some hot drinking water from the dispenser in the lobby and found the dispenser tank empty. I told that man at front desk the water dispenser was empty. He ignored me the first time. I said to him the second time, he replied "one moment" without even raising his head. When I walked into the room, I smelled something, not too strong but just odd, and I thought it might just be mold smell. But after 11-hour flight and considering the very early connecting flight next morning, we just wanted to take a shower and lay on a bed. Besides, I thought every room probably smell the same because SFO, by the sea, is humid. (The shuttle bus had an smell too) Thus, I did not ask for changing a room. Surprisingly, the next day afternoon, I received a $250 transaction notice from my credit card company. I checked with the hotel. The hotel told me it's Smoking Fee. I explained to them both I and my wife don't smoke at all. They insisted to charge me. I asked them to share an incident report, supporting documentation, evidence to support their charge. They simply replied that they smelled smoke in the room. I repeatedly communicated with the hotel and IHG, the hotel insisted to charge me for something I and my wife did not do and IHG simply was not helpful. After reading reviews on Trip Advisor, I realized that there was comment from previous guest about weed smell in the hotel. There were also guest comments about unauthorized charge and intentional fraudulent charge. I wish I had read the reviews before I booked this hotel. Lesson learned – Always file complaint if smell something odd when enter a hotel room, even if it's just a little, even if you don't know what it is. Another lesson, read reviews before book a hotel as previous victims likely have shared their bad experiences.

A cacophony of issues Very run down hotel in need of some TLC. Had a room above the staff room and the AC unit woke me up every morning with how loud it was. Had to ask to move to other side of hotel. Room safe was broken and needed repairing and there was also a mix up with billing at the end of my stay meaning I was overcharged. Would definitely not return.
