Clean Spacious Comfortable room The room was spacious, clean, and well equipped. The bed was comfortable and I loved the "normal" sized pillows. Housekeeping was amazing. We came back to find it was as if we were just checking in and the housekeeper had put one of my books on the center of the pillow. Sounds like nothing but it was a luxury type touch. Bathroom was well stocked with quality products. I especially loved the water pressure in the shower.

Canceled on us very late We reserved a room at this hotel for a Saturday night so we could be closer to the North Cascades NP. We called on Friday to confirm and to let them know we would be coming in late and to please not assume that we backed out. On Saturday night at 10:20pm, they called me to say that they were overbooked and we therefore did not have a room. I had to s ramble to find alternate accommodations, and had to wake up extra early on Sunday to travel the extra distance due to not being able to find something nearby. While I got my money back through Expedia, when I called Holiday Inn they were unable to offer me any form of good will compensation or future credit in return for highly inconveniencing me. Very very disappointing.

Clean rooms, convenient location. We were attending the North West Washington Fair and doing a tour of Desolation pass and wanted something in the middle. We have stayed in a couple of places in the past few months have found housekeeping to be subpar. Not the case here. This is probably the cleanest room I have stayed in for years and I tip my hat to the staff for doing an excellent job. Even the carpets, which are usually a terrifying mix of discoloration and stains looked well tended to. The parking lot was also clean and while the hotel is close to the I5, room noise was minimal. Breakfast was standard Holiday Inn fare, but then who does not mind the indulgence of those warm cinnamon rolls. Stay was friendly and helpful with requests. Would not hesitate to stay here again.

Great Hotel in Mount Vernon, WA. I have stayed here off and on for the last six months for business and can say the hotel is very consistent. Very quite hotel most of the time with very clean rooms. Jeff is an excellent manager but the whole staff is friendly and accomodating. Great breakfasts and never had a parking issue. Very convenient right off of highway 5 and 20 with easy access to Anacortes and the ferry.

Poor Customer Service The room was clean, and the location was good as it was off the freeway. However, the customer service treatment was extremely poor, and the noise was horrible. I made my reservation a month ago for multiple rooms. When I realized I need a connecting room, I immediately called the hotel. I was told they was put my request on my reservation. At 4:00 P.M. of the day of my arrival, I realized I will not arrive at the establishment until 7ish, I called the establishment and was informed I will not get a reconnecting room. And the room will not be next to each other. The room will be several hundred yard apart. I was already disappointed I didn't get a connecting room. However, I was extremely upset when I check-in, I discovered that the two rooms are indeed several hundred yards apart and it will be separate by the elevator. My room was next to the elevator and the other room was on top of the dining room. Throughout the night, the elevator kept waking me up. I previously stay at this establishment and had an exceptional experience. Now I am regretting my decision. If I am in Burlington, WA, I will seek other establishments. Or I will drive a little further north or south of Burlington and staying at other establishments. I understand a connecting room may not feasible, but I find it hard to believe that the hotel cannot be courtesy enough to put the two rooms next to each other or across from each other. Additionally, the establishment did not have the courtesy to call me and inform me I will not get a connecting room and the two rooms will not be side by side or across from each other. Throughout this ordeal, the hotel failed to apologize except said we may not be able to accommodate your request. With the amount of money, I paid for this establishment, I could have stay at four- or five-star hotel.
