Good hotel It's been years since I stayed here. Recently, I was in the area and visited again with a friend who rented the room. It is a bit older than a hotel. They appeared to have some renovations and the rooms look good but the hallways need help. Trash/Garbage in the hallways by guest's doors that had not been picked up for a while. If you can get past the hallways it's a great hotel. Breakfast was decent and the staff was nice and helpful.

Stolen Money I booked through booking.com. The worker and the manager on duty charged me $25 more than my booking.com total. Per the manager "We can charge whatever we want when someone books through these sites". The price on these types of websites is NEVER to change. They refused to refund me.

Clean though discriminates. They don't hire white people. If you are white to work hard at a job and need a job really bad and a great worker. They don't accept hard working people. Thy will not hire those mixed if light skinned.

This hotel literally STINKS Super disappointed with this property. The only pleasant experience was the nice young lady that tried to check us in. She gave us our first room, which was room 120. When we opened the door, the overwhelming odor of chemical/cleaning solution caused me almost immediate nausea. The only description I have for it, is an ashtray with the cover odor of a cheap, non-appealing air freshener. We asked for a different room, and she was very apologetic and accommodating. The second room, 102, also wreaked of an overpowering, and very unpleasant odor. It was late, so we just left. It is very apparent that this property is not held even remotely to the standards common at Hampton Inn. It is very dated and run down.

Disappointment Need to hire staff with better people skills. The night guy who checked us in was OK. But in general the staff lacked people skills. No greeting, no matter. But when I asked about how long it would take for coffee to be ready (so I could decide to wait or go back to the room and come back) - I could not get a straight answer and another employee snarled at me when the other employee did not seem to understand my question. The facility itself is dated and tired, but pretty clean. There is zero lobby - just an area to stand and check in. To be seated one must go to the area where breakfast is served. You can't expect great things when breakfast is included - but this breakfast was not as good as in other Hamptons where we have stayed. We got a good night's sleep - and I guess that is what really mattered - but I would prefer to stay elsewhere next time.
