Good for a night. We arrived after midnight for a one night stay during our trip from the Midwest to Florida. The hotel appears to have undergone a recent remodel. The room was freshly painted and looked like it had new plank flooring. The bedspread and sleeper couch were worn and could use replacing, but otherwise the room was clean. Our room had a microwave and fridge but no coffee maker. Coffee was offered in the office and it looked like they may have had dry cereal, but nothing else.

Stay at your own risk! Based on the TA reviews posted below, I must live in an alternate universe or stayed at a different hotel (motel). We just traveled up the east coast of the US, then traveled across Canada, before heading back to Florida, and this (BY FAR) is the worst hotel we stayed in. We try to avoid Wyndham hotels, which this location is not, because most are old and filthy but this place easily qualifies to become a member. DON’T STAY HERE! Please take the time and view my photos which tell the story. Unfortunately, I can only post 10 because I have many more that I could post. We pulled up in front of the building and found two parked cars under the Porte Cochere blocking the area in front of the office. We had to park off to the side. As I walked into the vestibule, I found the inner door to the office locked and a clerk talking to me through a vent in the glass. I asked if they had a COVID scare. “No” she says. We’re under construction. Funny, I was in the construction business for 45 years and have an idea of what it entails. There was NO construction at the office (so why the odd isolation and talking through a vent? It doesn’t make for a warm fuzzy feeling). Looking through the glass I noticed an entire family sitting around smiling at me. I assume they are the building owners and the ones responsible for the two parked cars in the way (and this mess in general). I almost walked away, but we were tired and decided to stay. “Oh”, the clerk says, “many of the rooms are being remolded” (So, why is it still open?). I’ll say. There are junks of popcorn ceilings spread all over the parking lot and grass areas near the pool (which is shut down). In addition to this mess, there are cigarette butts spread everywhere: parking lot, grass, walkways, and places where it appears someone emptied ashtrays in piles in the grass. Think this is bad? We found broken glass (lots of glass – not one small piece) next to the sidewalks outside of the rooms and glass beer bottles in the grass. I’ve been involved with many construction projects, and most agreements have a clause stating the crews are to clean up at the end of each day. Not this place. It’s such a mess that one wonders why they are open during this disaster. I wonder what the Health Department would say if they inspected. Especially the broken glass. I want to mention to anyone thinking about staying here, that the parking lot is full of pickup trucks and there are many construction types hanging around at night (and late parties – see below). That doesn’t bother me, but some folks might feel intimidated. Please note that the Wi-Fi is unsecured. That didn’t make me feel comfortable with all the characters wandering around. Someone might be a hacker, who knows? The room: *The first thing we noticed when walking into the room was a few of the lamps not working. I followed the wires and found them to be unplugged. The problem is the plug multipliers that are not to code. Have too many plugs for the single receptacle? Plug them into one of these things. In addition, we found one plug had been bent almost sideways by someone pulling on the wire. Sure looked like a fire hazard to me. See photos. *The floor covering is final plank and dirty (you have to mop it once in a while). *The front door is old and has not been maintained so there is a large gap at the bottom allowing our little bug friends into the room. See photos. *They only give you a sheet and a very thin bedspread to cover you when sleeping. We were cold all night. In addition, the sheets are old and full of holes *The absolute worst caulking job is easily found around the bathroom floor at all the walls. I guess they were trying to create a baseboard out of a caulk gun. Horrible. The joint is at least 1+” wide. Check this out in the photos. Nasty. *NOTE: A party broke out in the room next door around midnight. Loud beer party. Hard to sleep with all the hoo-ha going on. *The room has a microwave, fridge, a 50” TV with cheap channels, Unsecured Wi-Fi, Coffee maker but there is no receptacle where it’s located so you have to pick it up and move it where you can find one. Photo. There are many hotels in the area. I strongly suggest you pass this place and find another. You’ve been warned.

Good enough We stayed in this hotel only one night, but we enjoyed it. The room and bathroom were clean. This particular Econo Lodge offers you breakfast from 6-9am, you can have cereal, some sweet bread, oatmeal, coffee, juice... The staff was nice. There is a Walmart and Aldi close by and a lot of chain restaurants, as well as a gas station right in front of the hotel, so If you forget to buy something to eat you will have places to go to. In the room, you will find a coffee machine, a fridge, a microwave, an iron and a blow dryer. There was a TV with HBO channels - nice! No kettle - that was disappointing (why Americans don't drink tea? ;)

Comfortable room The staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was sparse, but decent enough for us. Although there were a lot of guests, the room was very quiet and we had no major complaints. Would definitely stay again.
