Tired hotel unhelpful reception What a dissappintment the only hotel stayed in for three weeks that was a let down Tired building but rooms clean and spacious. On a busy road view over car park from room View over the sea a let down Reception staff demonstrate a serious training We told at check in the restaurant hours and about happy hour would start at 3:00pm Sadly the restaurant and bar were closed (every Sundays and Monday) Quite a long walk into Campbell river..to eat but basic eateries only. When we arrived a large lorry blocked the drive (there was plenty of room in the car park. It was being unloaded by youths.The road is busy so we went to wait over the highway on a residential road After 45 minutes I walked down to ask the lorry driver when he thought unloading might be complete. He was very off hand and pointed a pile of new mattresses stacked outside being unloaded He walked off There was plenty of space in the car park and his lorry blocked road access and the ramp to lower car park My wife then went into to reception to ask when the lorry would be moved to reopen access to be brusquely told by an elderly receptionist told she had not a clue when the unloading would finish ..it could be another hour. No sign of management lots of lads lolling around with mattresses from the lorry. When we finally got in to the car park we were told that we should not have unloaded the suitcases and we should have read the outside notice..after check in you drive down a steep ramp to access the second building from the bottom car park. Suitcases it seemed should be left in the car at check in Breakfast a nice surprise Friendly later..breakfast prepared to order Excellent fare But.. We won’t be going back!

View of a car park, but clean, large rooms. Needs a big upgrade. My friend and I chose this place because we did not want to be separated from the waterfront by a road. The photos showed ground floor rooms that appeared to lead onto lovely grounds and the beach front, which is exactly what we wanted. They DO NOT. Their balconies actually look *directly* onto the car park, with vehicles parked right up against the balcony wall just a couple of feet below. A noisy truck and motorbike leaving early was very close and loud. The waterfront is on the opposite side of the car park, barriered, thickly brambled and inaccessible, other than one small access stairway at the far end of the property. This was very disappointing, and not what the photos showed. The view beyond the car park was lovely, though, so it was a big shame they chose to locate parking there. Inside, the hallways produced very loud echoes of voices and the room doors had no soft-close mechanism, so people passing by and the bang of doors was very disturbing, especially late at night. The room was spacious enough, with two large beds. It was clean, and had a fridge with a small ice box. Fittings in the bathroom were very dated and worn, and in need of complete refurbishment, but adequate. There was refurb work happening around the hotel common areas when we stayed, so lots of wet paint, but I don't know if rooms are being refurbished. We didn't use the pool, spa, gym, or restaurant. Location was great, very close to the shops and restaurants of Campbell River. Staff seemed young and new, so check-in and out was not very smooth, but they were trying hard. I had a phone call an hour after checking out to go back to the hotel because the system could not refund my damage deposit. I was luckily still in town - had I been on the road that would have been very inconvenient, if not impossible. Overall our stay was fine, but more realistic photos are required to make it clear that the rear car park is directly adjacent to first floor rooms.

Nothing good to Say I wish I could find something nice to sqy, but I can't. Don't Believe the advertised price. Don't count on the restaurnant being open, they close when they want. Don't count on the elevator - it only goes to the 4th floor (there are 7). The freindliest are the chamber maids,. rest of staff acts like they don't care. there is nothing walkable. Rooms are grossly underfurnished. Skip it.

Disappointed I've stayed several times, but the most recent was disappointing compared to previous visits. The first room I was put in had a weird smell, so I was switched to another on a higher floor, which was better. The decor is very dated and the numbers of rooms were scribbled on half the doors. I would hesitate to return, which is too bad. They do have theme rooms which are fun, but also need updating. There's so much potential for this hotel, I hope to see it reached one day.

Value for money hotel Nice location with sea view. However, we wanted to clean our clothes and there is only one washing machine and one dryer. Breakfast was not that nice but I can not complain, the lady did not charge us and I commend the hotel for that, it was a good gesture. Big parking available. There are many restaurants near by as well. I would stay again.
