Studio 6 in Carlsbad Ive been fortunate to be able to stay at some of the worlds finest hotels, Ritz Carlton, Four Seasons, Fairmont etc., and the things that make those hotels great are the location, service and the people. Studio 6 in Carlsbad California, a hiddfren gem, is in a fabulous location. Its a five minute walk to the ocean which makes the weather here fantastic. The hotel room I stayed in has a king size bed, living room and full kitchen, stoive top, full size refrigerator, microwave, coffee machine and pots, pans, silverware and plates that I needed. As in any hotel, even the worlds finest, things do go wrong and wehen I had an issue in my room, the maintanence crew swiftly came and repaired it. The GM of the hoterl, Maritza, is a very genuine person who cares about thre htoel guests doing everything to make sure their stay is memorablre. I love this hotel and have recommended it to several friends who have stayed and threnked mer for the introduction.

Horrid Dirty, dirty, and dirty. The linen and couch in the room had cigarette burns, the carpet was sticky, there were roaches in the kitchen and the smell was awful. Stay away from this place. The pool was also closed. This place needs a huge tax write off renovation and needs to be more selective with its guests.

Studio 6 in Carlsbad I have been a guest of Studio 56 in Carlsbad, CA. The employees here make me feel like its a home instead of just a hotel room. The rooms are very spacious, the location is amazing very close to the ocean. I can walk there in a few minutes. The bed is very comfortable, pillows are great and the kitchen has eventhing I need to make a meal. Microwave oven, stove top, big refrigerator, not one of the mini ones that hold two bottles of water. If I have an issue the maintenance department takes care of it in a very short time. In fact this morning at 7:30 i had an issue with faucet leak, and by 8:05 (and i checked my watch) the maintebnace man came and fixed it. It all startes with the GM ofc the property Maritza who makes sure guests are greeted, and problems are taken care of. She is amazing. I would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Worse than a Cardboard Box on the Side of the Road This was the worst hotel I have ever stayed. The lobby had dirty floors. The hotel staff was unfriendly. The sofa, curtains, carpets were stained. The sofa bed linen had not been changed and was crumpled on the bed when we opened it and there was hair in the bed. There were lipstick stains on the sheets and the duvet had visible dirt on it. There was hair in the bed and a clump of hair on the floor. The door lock didn't work properly. The towels were tiny and there were no bath products. This was on step up from a cardboard box on the side of the road.

Fell in love with this hidden gem.. This Studio 6 is a complete gem! totally worth everything inch of the drive and penny spent to stay! When we spontaneously took off south for a romantic weekend we stopped in just to see what it was all about. And the hotel and it's beautiful staff charmed us into never wanting to leave! The building was an old Hyatt Regency. It's blocks from the beach, some of the rooms are amazing with two rooms, they have conjoining rooms, and full kitchens with everything you need available to borrow and cook. The rate is always reasonable, everything is clean and fresh, the staff are kind and helpful, they make everything a breeze. All said... I did, finally leave, but I can't wait to go back! Highly recommend!!
