Aging but Thriving My two-night stay at the Homewood satisfied all my expectations, and although my expectations for a hotel are fairly lenient compared to other reviewers, I still hold any place to high standards. And here was great nonetheless. - Location: Off the Meridian Street highway and close to 465. Central to Carmel/northern Indy businesses, shops, restaurants, and attractions. - Atmosphere: The lobby was well-kept and clean, and vibes were warm and colorful throughout. - Service: Sherry at the front desk was fantastic, and everyone with whom I interacted showed their passion for customer service. On my first night, I forgot my iPad charger, and Sherry brought one up for me to borrow for a few hours—I would have preferred to have kept it overnight and returned it the next morning, but no big deal. - Amenities: Typical Homewood amenities, most notably free breakfast. Some evenings there are Drury-style kickbacks and social events. This particular property has a great courtyard with a pool, grill, and relaxation areas galore. - Rooms: My room was spacious (all rooms are suites, of course) and of an extended-stay style, which you will always find at Homewoods. Despite an older building, I found my room to be perfectly clean, minus a few tiny stains on the bathroom floor and carpet. It was also very quiet. - Value: Usually rates will reflect excellent value here. Will return next time I need a hotel in Carmel!

Great Place Had a doctor appointment at the IU NORTH Carmel early so we decided to spend the night near by. This hotel was very convenient to the hospital. The room was clean , staff nice. Shopping was close by, bought groceries for the room. We would stay here again. Great breakfast.

Not a pleasant experience No water for 4 hours and the hot tub was down our first day. The evening reception was canceled. Lobby was being used by a grocery store to hold job interviews and zoom meetings making it uncomfortable for us to use. Ice from the vending machine had dirt in it. Halls were dirty and in desperate need of vacuuming. Kitchen was poorly stocked.

Lots of cleaning needed When you pull into the lot it is clear the hotel is not new or updates. It could definitely use some help outside to spruce it up. The lobby looks a little dated, but overall nice. The breakfast area is set up nicely. It is spread out which helps with overcrowding. We arrived in our room after check in and were very disappointed with the look and feel. The room is not well lit, the couch looks very old and well loved and sheets have definitely seen their best days quite some time ago. We went to fitness room and pool and spoke to the front desk about this, but specifically the couch. We expressed concern of what the mattress would look like as we would have kids sleeping on the pull-out. The woman at the desk told us that the mattresses were in great condition and not to worry. After swimming i pulled out the mattress and it was gross. Lots of yellow stains. I went back downstairs and showed her 2 pictures. She didn't seem surprised but told me that they were sold out, there were no managers working and i should complain the next day. She offered extra blankets and sheets to build a barrier. The next day i spoke to the front desk, she told me there were no managers and nothing she could do. This was only after she was on the phone for 15 minutes and kept trying to ignore me, but i waited her out. at check out i told her about the issue again, she took my phone number to have a manager call me, but told me it was doubtful they could do anything. 48 hours later and still no phone call from the hotel manager.

Overwhelmed? Dirty yet Welcoming I think they were overwhelmed by the volume of guests for the FFA Convention, but I was disappointed in the cleanliness of the room. It was really filthy. I suspect it was a mothballed room that didn't get a proper cleaning before I checked in. While they attempted to rectify the situation, my floor remained unvacuumed and full of pet hair, crumbs and debris. On the plus side, breakfast was good. Staff was welcoming. I don't think I would stay here again. I ended up cleaning the room myself with whatever I could find. I have never been so disappointed with a Hilton stay.
