Disappointing We had great hopes when we booked two rooms at the Cartersville, GA, Wyndham Microtel, but the experience was disappointing. The price was extremely attractive and the location ideal. But the property is in desperate need of a major upgrade. The carpet throughout is dingy and worn, as well as the upholstered furniture. The bed and loveseat/sleeper sofa were lumpy and uncomfortable. There were stains and torn places on the loveseat and carpet. Plumbing fixtures are budget grade and when we bathed our shower/tub creaked and groaned. I thought we might come crashing through the floor. And the faucet dripped. The HVAC worked beautifully, but the Wi-Fi signal was so weak and sporadic as to be irrelevant. In today's culture, quality, secure Wi-Fi is a must. The "Continental Breakfast" ends at 9:30 a.m., not the normal 10 o'clock. Everything is removed and even the coffee maker is shut down. Bad service for tired folks who might want to sleep a bit late, but still need morning caffeine to get going. All in all, the Cartersville Wyndham Microtel will do in a pinch, but spend a few dollars more and go someplace else.

Damp moldy dirty room Mold all over the walls, shower wasn’t secure when standing in it, beds were damp. Someone opened the door early morning while we were in bed….

Only last result! Only stay as a last result. Booked 3 days while attending an event and only slept there. The back steps had mud splattered on them when I arrived and still there when leaving. The small back patio had trash built up and cans over flowing, never emptied plus cigarette butts on ground by the hundreds. Maid came in took dirty linen twice but left no fresh linen, each night had go to front desk and ask for towels and wash cloths. No safety bars in tub area, almost slipped climbing into tub.

DO NOT RECOMMEND The room just wasn’t clean. It didn’t smell clean. It smelled like someone smoked in it. The comforter had a stain you could see as you walked in the room. The surfaces of the desk and nightstand were severely scratched, and had watermarks where water had previously pulled in areas on the fake wood. Breakfast was dismal (rotten hard boiled eggs) and the coffee tasted like the machine needed to be cleaned. Upon check-in and check, The person sat in the back and finished the video or whatever they were doing on their phone before they slowly sauntered up to the desk and very unenthusiastically asked how they could help us. Just not a classy place at all! I used points to reserve it. They still charged my credit card for staying there! They claimed we had pets and checked in early. We had neither of those things. We arrived at 6:30pm. Overall, it was a terrible experience. I do not recommend.

Marsha should loose her job It sucked smell like weed all the time, they wait until you leave, then say you owe a cleaner nf fee. It's a racket! They will steal your money after you've paid then act like it's a normal thing. Pittiful excus of a hotel.
