An absolute disgrace and a shocker! I recently had an extremely disappointing and unpleasant experience during check-in at the Comfort Inn on MacCorkle Road in Charleston, West Virginia. The initial room I was given was utterly unacceptable, reeking of urine and visibly unclean. When I asked for a different room, the replacement I was offered wasn’t any better—it smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. Despite this, the front desk clerk, Rebecca, was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional, claiming there were no other rooms available and essentially forcing me to settle for the first unacceptable option. To make matters worse, Rebecca repeatedly made faces, rolled her eyes, and even tried to be condescending by sarcastically saying, “You must live in a mansion back home to have such high standards.” (after seeing from my International driver's license that I was a foreigner). This level of disrespect and lack of courtesy was shocking. If this is the standard of service Comfort Inn motels deliver, then I am done with this chain. The rooms were filthy, and the front desk staff clearly lacked any sense of customer service. This experience was not only a waste of my money, but it also reflects terribly on the brand’s commitment to providing guests with even basic cleanliness and professionalism. I will make it a point to share my experience with my followers on Facebook and Instagram, warning them against staying at Comfort Inn locations if this is the quality they can expect. Furthermore, I am seriously considering filing a formal complaint against Rebecca for her unprofessional and, frankly, discriminatory attitude. I demand an official apology and will not settle for anything less than her dismissal or a full refund for the unacceptable experience I endured.

Should have stayed on top floor Front desk person (Matt) was very friendly and helpful, a good representation of the brand. The room smelled a bit funny, even the replacement room was not fresh smelling but it was better and good enough. The shower was nice. Sleep was good until early morning. Noisy in 2 ways: the water pipes from the room above us were noisy. A worker came through the side door very early on the first floor making noise, instead of quietly going through the front. Overall, it would have been better to be on the top floor.

Run! Woke up to roaches in room. My husband and I immediately packed up and went to the front desk to check out w/ refund. The helpful young man at the front desk tried to be helpful as he could unfortunately he was unable to refund without GM approval. Finally able to speak with Manger Denish the manager he disregarded us good how was spending time with his family and this was inconvient for him. We would need to wait until morning to get an official refund when he came in. This is so Unprofessional! I will now be sharing video and review publicly!

Great stay!! Very friendly staff and willing to help out when a problem arose. Very nice and spacious room. Laundry site was down when we arrived, but they gave us directions to one that was nearby. Coffee was available all day. The bed was very comfortable.

Great location and staff service Last minute trip to attend a funeral. Check in was quick and easy which is always appreciated. Room was clean and very comfortable for the evening. Hot breakfast was pretty good and lots of options including coffee machine that offered cappucino and latte which my wife loved. Definitely would stay here again if traveling through the area. Staff was excellent and management cares.
