Nice stay in a great location! This was our second time staying at this location. Both times Mervin was working the front desk. He was very helpful and professional. Breakfast was very good with lots of choices. The omelette chef was working his butt off trying to fill all the orders! The hotel was clean and our room was nice. Parking is extra and around the back of the property and is the only negative. The pool was closed so we didn't have to worry about the dreaded 100 kid pool parties that happen at most embassy locations!

Outdated facility in suites. Disappointing. Pros: relatively close to everything Cons: 1. Thin walls - you can hear everything next door 2. Outdated windows-lots of noises at night w traffic and loud cars. Loud fireworks can be heard clearly - good luck if you have baby sleeping. 3. Old facilities in suites-shower head falling out; clogged sinks and wall plugs not functioning at all. 4. Ice machine not working and was not fixed the whole stay (7 days) 5. Water brown and muddy - lol hello seriously? You should supply drinking water to all guests during the problem 6. Pay to park is ridiculous in the garage behind the hotel. Will not stay here again next time. We stayed here bcs of the suite option since our regular hotel by Marriott doesn’t offer that in town. But Marriott is so much more updated.

The majority of the staff doesn't care about you! Staying 39 days and we actually have to beg to get our room cleaned. I have tipped staff upwards of $20 to get a good cleaning, only to have my bed made and that's it. The showers are moldy, and I had to buy my own shower cleaner. It also seems as though there is a shortage of toilet brushes because my toilet has yet to be cleaned. We have spoken with the GM "Derek" and were assured we would be taken care of. That has not been the case. Hotel allows dogs which bark and howl. And, on the weekends the smell of Marijuana is so thick in the hotel you may think you will get a contact high. Personally, I will never stay here again!

Not terrible, but not great This place was okay. The fee to use their uncovered, unattached parking area (that's a hike to the front desk and elevators, esp. with luggage) was a surprise. The folks at reception were very helpful, and the bar staff were great. Housekeeping entered my room despite the do-not-disturb sign—luckily I wasn't asleep or undressed. I got charged a room cleaning fee for the first time ever, and I eventually had to call Hilton customer service to get it reversed - apparently they had me mixed up with another room. It's not a bad hotel, but I'd probably try somewhere else if I ever return to Charleston.

Caution Caution! Stayed 7 days in June 2024, would have checked into another local hotel if I could get out of the cancellation fee. Rooms horrible, wall paper peeling, water damage, dirty carpet, poor lighting, AC not sufficient, and no hot water. Staff not friendly- bartenders act as if you are an inconvenience. Front desk appeared to be not well trained, requested late check out staff didn’t notify us of the $25 per hour charge even as a Honors member. Parking is $10/day. Tons of other much better options in the area.
