Avoid this place at all costs. You get what you pay for. The price was fair, but I learned that you get what you pay for. I got scammed by the owner or manager, the short Indian guy at the front desk. He charged me a $50 key deposit that was supposed to be refundable. After returning both keys and getting his confirmation that the pending charge would be refunded, I later discovered after I left that the $50 pending fee was allowed to be processed anyway. The place looked nothing like the pictures. I've stayed at several hotels, but this one was by far the worst. The hallway leading to my room on the first floor was dimly lit. The security door at the end of the building was loose and barely latched. In the parking lot, there were locals that hung out in their cars throughout the night. Inside the room, the floor was dirty and sticky. The bed sheets and ironing board had dirt stains. The bathroom faucet was loose and physically moved when you turned the faucet on or off. The tub was dirty with strands of hair in it. This is the first hotel that I didn't feel comfortable taking a shower because it was so filthy. Overall, this place was horrible for the reasons mentioned above. What makes the experience even worse is the fact that the owner/manager blatantly lied to me about refunding the $50 key deposit when I asked about it at checkout. So, essentially, in addition to the cheap price that you pay for the room, you're charged an extra $50 fee, which negates the hotel's relatively cheaper price. Avoid this place at all costs. The advertised cheap price is not what it appears to be.

terrible!!! The entire experience was terrible. I booked a night and left after a few hours. I recently came to see other reviews and I see so many similarities, so it’s apparent this hotel doesn’t get any better. Firstly, walking into the hotel you immediately smell urine. After I was given my key and walked into my room the door was unable to lock. I’m traveling in an unknown city and my hotel door won’t lock? Unacceptable. The smell of the room smelled like mildew coming from the shower curtain and it not being cleaned properly mixed with mold in the rooms. The room was completely filled with the smell of smoke even though theirs a no smoking policy. The refrigerator was leaking water across the floor and no matter how many times I cleaned it, it kept going and the inside of the refrigerator was FILTHY. the blankets had multiple holes in them. The desks and counters were dusty and there was trash under and behind the bed. Shortly after this I then was locked out of my room. The key suddenly stops working with all of my belongings in the room. I went down to the front desk for help and the employee was extremely rude the entire time. The older man with the glasses was extremely rude to me. He badgered me about my name to verify my identity when I had just checked in not even an hour before this. So I continue to verify my identity and he’s now mad that I didn’t say my middle name on my ID. (keep in mind, I booked my room with my first and last name only. How was I going to know I was plugged in the system from my full name on my ID?) The older employee with the glasses on multiple occasions watched me on the cameras & would pop out of the corners telling me I couldn’t leave out of exits (i had no plans of leaving, i just wanted to explore and hated my room). He was also extremely rude when I needed help with my key not working to get back into the building. The key stopped scanning to get into the building and instead of being helpful and pointing out that technology can be weird, he gave me an extremely nasty attitude. I also ordered Doordash to this location and asked him was it arrived and he completely ignored me. I only stayed a few hours and had to leave, I felt extremely uncomfortable. The entire experience was TERRIBLE.

Just say no As I have said in previous reviews, my frugal husband has a strange loyalty to Red Roof Inns, and they are often clean and comfortable and most importantly, dog friendly. This one was neither clean nor comfortable and despite the name, it is also not in the University area. It is in a sketchy industrial area amidst a bunch of trucking companies. When we checked in, I went to use the restroom and noticed that the floor looked dirty. I wiped the floor with a damp washcloth and it not only came away brown, but also wiped up actual chunks of dirt. I mentioned this to the gentleman on duty (it was evening), who was very apologetic, and said that the cleaning people were gone for the day but would definitely make sure it was clean in the morning. Long story short, that did not happen, and the floor remained disgusting. Please see my photos which show the dirty floor, the nasty old shower seat, the light switch and refrigerator which have clearly not been cleaned in a very long time, much less sanitized. The hallway had a stronger smell of weed than my son’s high school car, and in the evenings it would seep into our room. The TV is very small and very old. The deadbolt in our room did not work at all. The air conditioning system was approximately as loud as a jet engine, but it did block any noise from the hall. I am a wheelchair user and booked an accessible room, so I will describe the accessibility features in case anyone makes the ill-advised choice to book here. The “accessible“ entrance is up a small ramp which ends directly at the door which has to be opened outward. A wheelchair user must be able to simultaneously avoid rolling backwards down the hill while pulling the heavy door open. Inside that door is a key card access door to the lobby. There was plenty of space in the room itself to maneuver, and the floors are laminate. Beds are an appropriate height for manual wheelchair users. Lighting above the bed is impossible to reach without standing beside the bed or kneeling on the bed. The bathroom sink is a little high, but I was able to see in the mirror and to brush my teeth. There are rails behind and to the right of the toilet, but it is not possible to maneuver a wheelchair parallel to the toilet. There is a shower over the tub and a low built-in seat on the far end of the tub, BUT the bathroom door opens inward, and once my wheelchair was in the bathroom it was not possible to close the door so that I could get into the shower/tub. Seriously, give this one a pass.
