Quality Inn Cherokee

DONT DO IT - MISTAKE This place is a rip off. They wont tell you that they charge a $100 deposit until you get there so beware of that. Also, they will tell you that you will get that $100 deposit back but you wont - they made up a lie and said that we were smoking in the room when my husband is on oxygen 100% of the time - so we dont even smoke so their lame excuse was obvious to pocket our money for no reason at all. How they could accuse us of it was ludacris anyway considering that numerous staff members there walk around vaping and smoking on the grounds but that is acceptable. The photos online are misleading because you think you are getting a room with a balcony overlooking a river (front sign says "Private Balconies on the River") which they forget to mention that theres only about ten of those rooms and the rest have a parking lot outside of the balcony. The toilet was stopped up as soon as we walked in the room. The tv had about ten channels, the WIFI barely worked and there was no microwave in the room. This place was by far one of the worst mistakes Ive made and I wont be back to a Quality Inn again nor will I ever use Booking.com again. Horrible experience.

Great Hotel Such a great hotel! Rooms are nice, clean and beds are comfortable. Staff is pleasant and accommodating. We had a river view room and it was beautiful. Would definitely recommend this hotel if you’re in Cherokee NC. We had a bad experience in gatlinburg so this was such a refreshing change.

Annual Anniversary/Birthday trip to NC The front desk and housekeeping were the worst I have ever experienced in all of my travels. We had called the hotel 2 times the day of our arrival to let them know that we would be a late night arrival and not to let our room go. When we arrived the front desk clerk that checked us in, was rude and not friendly at all. Evidently, he was to give us a placard to place on the door to let housekeeping know we wanted our room cleaned. (First for us to have this type of request of a guest.) He did not. After returning from our outing the second night it was a surprise not to have our room cleaned and fresh towels. Okay, maybe we were overlooked the first time. I went to front desk. Same person who us in was there. He assured me that he would tell housekeeping and gave me fresh towels. He had that opportunity to give us the placard for housekeeping. He did not. Then again, third night returning from an outing, room was not cleaned again. Not happy. Went to the front desk again, taking all the dirty towels for exchange of clean. After explaining again that our room had not been serviced again, OR since arriving, I am told that the other clerk should have given us a placard for cleaning room. I asked for a discount on our room for the poor service. I was told she would put a note in and the manager would have to take care of that. Next morning at check out the manager says she cannot give a discount because we prepaid. You would think that if we prepaid we would have gotten a better room and better treatment. Nope not the case. I chose this hotel because of the cleanliness rating. In addition their breakfast was subpar as well. Same thing served everyday; flat round precooked eggs, sausage, waffles.

Be careful with your creditcard ! I would like to warn people from European countries about this hotel . All our credit cards were blocked by their creditcart machine ! The other Begians we met on our last day also had their creditcarts blocked and according to our banking institution this was because of their creditcart machine !

Not worth the money! Better options are available! The rooms are very small, and in my opinion, they advertise "River View" balcony rooms, but ours was more like a creek view! I was thoroughly disappointed!_ Also you had to drive up to get breakfast in their hotel, ir walk up a bunch of stairs! The breakfast food was terrible, a d not many options were available! I was expecting alot more based on their advertising! I would definitely not recommend staying there!____
