This is the place to Stay!!! This place is a gem for the price. Nick and staff were so nice friendly and accommodating. Unlike other hotels they clean the rooms daily. Breakfast in the morning was hot and delicious and included in the room price. I’ve been coming to Chesapeake for 30 years to visit family. This is the place to stay!!!

Stay away from this hotel Absolutely the worst hotel in a long time. I would say one step up from a $20 red roof inn. Shower was dirty with hair mold and dirt. Mold on wall in plain view and some that was painted over to hide. The whole room smelled and mildew and wet dog. The fire alarm was hanging off the wall as was the light above the shower. The shower handle was broken and just spun around in circles until you get that sweet spot. The Wi-Fi would not work and when I called the front desk about it. The lady said it was down and hung up on me. The TV was constantly going in and out. I asked for a different room and was told none were available but had an empty parking lot. DO NOT STAY HERE!!! Spend you money elsewhere.

Looking for quiet rest - keep looking Although the hotel has a quiet time of 10pm posted, which guests did seem to follow, don’t expect a quiet night’s rest if you stay on a Friday or Saturday night. Clean hotel, check in and night front desk staff were attentive, respectful and pleasant. Room well appointed, we had a standard king, on the 3rd floor, middle of hotel. Well appointed, etc. if you are over 6’3 you’d need to duck under the ceiling lights. Until we tried to sleep, that had been the only fault we found. 9pm we start hearing music. 10 pm it seems a bit louder, but we can’t figure out where it’s coming from 11 pm it’s getting louder. We were exhausted from a long day of traveling. I called the front desk and learned the bar near by plays their music really loud on Friday and Saturday evenings. I was also told it gets louder as the evening gets later. I asked if we could possibly move to a quieter room, and was told none were available, but was also told I’d probably hear the music in any room they had. We checked out at 11:30pm. At least I just wasted points for this stay and not cash.

Smoke Odor Rooms Very bad experience. We (my wife and 12 month old son) checked in around 9:30 pm on a Saturday. There was only one person working the desk. Luckily, check-in wasn't too bad since we already had a reservation and I'm a longtime IHG member. As soon as we got to our room and opened the door; the room had a very strong cigarette smoke odor. We went back downstairs and asked if we can get another room due to the smoke odor. The person working the front desk, accommodated and gave us the room immediately below the initial one. As soon, as we walked in; that room, too, had a very strong cigarette smoke odor. We then went back down and complained and asked if we can get a different room that is not directly adjacent to those rooms. He looked in the system and unfortunately there were no rooms left. He offered to give us spray to help remove the odor. I declined due to health concerns it may cause especially with a baby, and asked for a refund as we will find another place to stay. He called his manager and it was approved. I asked for a receipt and at first he didn't want to give me one, but eventually he printed 2 copies for me. Here's the kicker. As we were in the lobby looking for another hotel we noticed the line was very long. There were kids who came from the pool and asked the front desk worker if they can get 2 more towels as they were dripping. He told them to wait. They waited for about 5-7 minutes as he was still working another issue. And then, there was another guest who was very angry and complained and yelled about bed bugs and kept asking the front desk worker to cancel the remainder of her reservation and ask for a printed receipt but the worker refused to give her one. The other guests in line asked the guy why he couldn't just print off a receipt for her and he just refused to do so. There was a lot of yelling and curse words, and my baby son was watching and listening while we were booking another hotel. One couple came up to us asked us why we were leaving and we told them why and I believe they eventually followed suit. It was just a bad experience and it being pretty late on a Saturday night didn't help as we just wanted to get rest.

Regrettable I just came there from a Holiday Inn Asheville, N.C. Which was amazing. This Holiday Inn DID NOT resemble the previous stay. I had to buy coffee for my room. There was no early morning g coffee downstairs. Staff did not seem fully trained. Overall I would not stay there again.
