Clean quiet property It is so nice to find a clean motel that isn’t expensive. As a person who would choose a clean tent over a dirty luxury hotel that is huge. This is an older property, but whoever owns it is a thinker. A clever feature is built-in seat over the heat/air window unit. The front desk lady was friendly at check in and casually mentioned that she has worked here for 19 years and another staff member for over 20 years. That means that the owner is good to his/her employees. That also made me feel good about spending money there. Would totally stay there again.

Good clean hotel close to I95. Great for overnight stay when heading to South Carolina from Ontario. Far enough from highway that it is not too loud except for nearby street noise. The hotel was basic and clean and affordable for an overnight stay. The breakfast provided was not good - yougurt, coffee, cereal, soft apples, waffle machine and an inoperative juice machine (although it just appeared to be not working that day and was in the process of being fixed). The room was great, just need a little more attention to breakfast.

Pool is closed. Overall the hotel isn’t bad. It’s clean, not worn out, staff were nice. But they miss out on the details. Despite having an indoor pool, there’s a sign at the desk saying the pool is closed for the season. Nowhere on the choice app was this disclosed. I came for an economical weekend trip with my partner and had planned on using the pool. The soda machine is out of order. Again, overall the hotel isn’t bad. But when I specifically booked a hotel with an indoor pool wanting to use the pool, I am very disappointed it is closed and it certainly affects my review.

Worn Out & Smelly In one sentence - I would avoid staying here again, but it wasn’t so bad that I had to leave. Check-In was a bit of an ordeal. The two families in front of me each took about 10 minutes to check in so I had time to look around the lobby. The chairs in the lobby were clearly stained and frankly just in need of being replaced. The vending machine was literally sold out of everything. The sign at the front desk stating the pool was closed for ‘maintenance’ had obviously been around for a few seasons. The staff member who eventually assisted with my check in was pleasant, if not in a hurry. Upon arriving on the third floor I was immediately blasted with the smell of smoke - tobacco and other more potent smoke. As I was entering my room one of the couples who had checked in before me was making their departure, with the kids talking about the bugs in their room and parents vowing that they certainly weren’t going to be spending the night at this hotel. Upon entering my room the smell of smoke was still overpowering, despite the sign warning of a $250 fine if there was to be smoking in the room. I searched the room up and down for evidence of any bugs and found none, but did find plenty of signs of age. Wallpaper peeling back to uncover dark stained walls in the bathroom. A window cushion that was stained and generally frayed. The beds had clean linens of low quality and miniature pillows only. The carpeting was either from the decade of my birth, or just thoroughly in need of a deep cleaning. I very much enjoyed the sign in the bathroom listing the prices of all the rooms equipment in case any guests wanted to help themselves to any of their ‘popular’ amenities. $50 for an alarm clock from 1993? $20 for a pillowcase? I think not. I decided to stay and got a decent sleep, though all the items in my suitcase picked up the smells of the place. If I had planned on staying more than a single night I would have probably followed the other family to a different hotel in the area. It beats sleeping in your car, but not by much.

Great option on a dime I’ve stayed at this hotel probably half a dozen times for weekend trips to visit family in the area. It’s obviously a budget hotel, but the accommodations have always been clean, good size, and well-kept. If all you need is a decent place to sleep, this is a great option. The Comfort Inn just down the street is good too, but usually more expensive (and not worth the extra $). My only complaint is that they’re still using Covid as an excuse to not provide continental breakfast (while taking no other actual precautions).
