Hampton Inn & Suites Chicago Downtown

Avoid if you plan on sleeping at night If you plan on sleeping at night, DO NOT stay at this hotel. We were subjected to, I could only guess, several homeless people right outside the hotel screaming profanities at each other ALL NIGHT LONG. This went on every night and the front desk staff were totally indifferent and actually very rude about the whole situation. I’ve been an HHonors member since 2002 and have over 1100 nights in Hilton properties and have never been treated so poorly by hotel staff/management. Avoid at all cost, this place is deplorable.

Hampton Inn Downtown - sub-par Hopped in shower to find out shampoo and conditioner is empty. Checked AC which is blowing barely cool air and room smells like a locker room. Called front desk - and gentleman said I couldn’t change rooms because I already used the shower. I said bull - I’m a Diamonds reward member - I’m changing. They gave me new room and it was much better with exception of carpet was wet. Sirens all night long and a minimum of 5-8 minute wait for hotel. I won’t be staying here again. They have so many travelers coming through they could care less if one person is dissatisfied. On a good note -Danielle at front desk was great and polite!

Great hotel Damika is so lovely. She was so helpful and patient. I adore her! She greeted me personally each time she saw me in the lobby. P.s. DO NOT CALL HER DANIELE LOL The entire staff was helpful during my stay Yolo and Tom . Another young lady helped me as well, Bella. Damika gets five stars. She even allowed me to write her name on her tag. 10/10!!

Wonderful Experience Fabulous staff, clean and spacious rooms. Great location! They even texted me to make sure I was enjoying my stay and my room was to my liking. I had a wonderful experience at this location! The front desk was very welcoming and made sure I had everything I needed. I will definitely be back!

Excellent service, great breakfast, comfortable accomodations, and nice pool! Our stay at the Hampton Inn in downtown Chicago was one of our best hotel stays of all time. We were greeted by Oscar, who was very kind and professional, and was able to find us an open room even though we arrived 4 hours before check-in time. He graciously stored a bag for us downstairs and gave us directions. When we returned, a lovely woman greeted us with, "Hello, Family!" which made us feel right at home. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and well-kept, the bedding was comfortable, and I don't usually use the soaps and shampoos provided, but I tried these and really liked them. The breakfast was very generous- always several hot dishes, from individual omelettes and roasted potatoes to sausage and oatmeal. Cereal, several juices, multiple coffee choices, tea, muffins, bagels, toast, and DIY chocolate or vanilla malt waffles. Again, at breakfast the service was fantastic. Staff quietly kept food dishes full and helped guests with kindness. Pam always had a smile on her face and was so helpful and courteous- even when she informed us that the buffet would be closing soon, I felt her kindness and warmth. My kids swam in the pool, which was much larger than most hotel pools we've experienced, very clean, and had plenty of space to sit away from the pool for adults who didn't want to swim or be splashed. Every aspect of this stay was great, but it was the service that made it truly excellent. Every staff member we encountered was courteous, friendly, professional, and made us feel welcome. I rarely write reviews, but our experience here definitely merited the praise. Next time we visit Chicago, we definitely know where we are staying. Thank you, Hampton Inn!
