*** PLEASE READ *** A NIGHTMARE *** Last Friday, Feb 2, 2024, we drove from FL to Blacksburg, VA, for a college tour. We got into the hotel around 11:30 pm and had to wait for someone to come to the front office for more than 10 minutes. There was no sign of "I'll come back soon." We checked in around 11:30 pm. and assigned us room 212. We went to our room and the beds looked like someone had just used it, the floor was not clean. When my daughter went to get into bed, she noticed that the fitted sheets had hair, and I checked the other bed, and yes, it was with hair. I turned in the light of my phone to check throughly, and also, the cover sheets and the comforter were all stained like they hadn't cleaned anything at all. I went to the front desk and explained the situation to the front desk assistant; Jenny, and she felt so bad about it and changed us to room 220. We went and changed rooms and it was worse. Room 220 has the same situation as room 212, but it also has bugs in the beds, and the curtains and all the bed sheets were stained, even with blood like colors. I called her from the room and was very disappointed. It was already 12:30 midnight. She told me that she was going to call the manager; Angela, and get back to me to see about her options since I already checked in. She tried to get ahold of her manager without success she tried a 3rd room, room 205, and this room was worse. The furniture door where the fridge is was missing. When we opened the fridge, it was with mold, a lot of debris, like it was never cleaned and an awful odor. The bed was in the same conditions as the other rooms, but the floor was with food crumbs and even a fruit bar wood stick that someone ate was thrown on the floor. Jenny was very ashamed of everything, she told me that she wasn't able to do anything more since the hotel was almost completely booked and there were no more rooms available. It was 1:15 a.m., and she tried to contact her manager again without success. I took pictures and videos of everything and sent them to Jenny. She told me that she was going to check everything herself and take her own pics and videos. She was very sorry and since she was staying the whole night until 8 am she was going to make sure that I was not going to be charged and that Angela was supposed to go to work early morning. She was going to explain the whole situation to her and also told us that there was no one from maintenance for her to send into the rooms to clean them. I had to make a reservation at the last minute to get some sleep for the college tour at 9 am. for my daughter; we were exhausted! Despite all that happens with all the rooms that they changed us too, they didn't even try to accomodate us to another same brand hotel since they were many of them around the area and I even asked for it, but the manager was unreachable and Jenny apparently was not allowed to do those types of decisions. I was able to check in at 2 am. into another hotel. I had to spend more money for a last minute booking, lost more than 2 hours of sleep because all of this and put my daughter (a minor) and my mother (elderly person) into this uncomfortable situation, they were exhausted including myself. They told me that I was not going to be charged, and yes, they did. Angela didn't go to work the nest day and spoke with Sandra, who confirmed and told me that I was NOT going to be charged. GUESS WHAT!, I was charged! I just called the hotel, and the manager was not onsite, and no one can help me. Will have to call in tomorrow again.

Stay at your own risk First they offered a room with a bent door frame with a handle that only opened if you turned it up as it was previously broken into and then it turned out the room was unmade. The next room had a half inch gap between the door and frame which we didn’t notice until evening when the light shown through. We also noticed that the bolts only engaged about a quarter of an inch and could be easily defeated from the outside. Therefore stacked the luggage against the door and used a stack of pillows to block the beam of light. Upon entering we noticed how dirty the hassock and chairs were. So we used a damp wash cloth to clean off the obvious dirt. We then Lysoled the furniture and everything else. The head of the bed was slanted down. Fortunately, hubby had some 2 X 6 lumber pieces which we placed under the head of the bed. In addition, upon moving the mattress to switch ends, thinking that would solve the problem ( but it didn’t) we could see a collection of dog hair and grime on the box spring. Not a good feeling. Housekeeping only left a partial roll of toilet paper and no spare. Fortunately, we travel with an extra roll. The internet kept dropping our devices which means we had to annoyingly reconnect periodically. Luckily, we were able to stream a video with only one drop out. The exterior hotel entrance door next to our room had a broken lock and so was propped open with a rock. Breakfast was the best thing about the stay.

Great customer service, yucky rooms. The rooms were pretty standard however they were pretty gross. I had switch rooms twice due to cleanliness. Stains in bed, hair in different places, mildew in bathroom. The customer service was excellent tho. Mary was helpful and accommodating.

Not impressed We have stayed here before, and have had good visits. This wasn't one of the better ones. To start, our room's fridge did not work. We could've changed rooms, but I just put our stuff in our friend's across the hall. The pool and sauna were not open, for no good reason. We were short on washcloths and towels in the bathroom. Breakfast sign said there would not be a full breakfast, even though their website advertised one. Not impressed this time around.
