Comfort Suites Clayton - Garner

Pretty Poor but little competition Clean rooms, very noisy AC both in the room and outside (for the ground floor rooms and the pool). Changed rooms three times due to noise. Parking was good as was location. Breakfast pretty poor with paper plates and plastic utensils which went straight into the bin with no effort to recycle.

Nice and Quiet Nice quiet location, with walking distance to a couple of eating places, clean bathrooms and everything worked as supposed. Good size rooms help relax no matter what your day is like. Easy access to major highway and interstate with close by gas stations

Clayton Story Clean and Friendly.... Once you know that this is not Ritz Hotel, you appreciate the cleanliness, the bench out front, and the fresh coffee. Good housekeeping. Big rooms. Bathroom is ok size. I liked it. The only bad thing is the breakfast lady who was watching a show on her phone very loudly that I had to get up and warn her. She immediately apoogized and turned it down. Good.

Terrible I with the receptionist and a young child playing on the other reception computer.Once in the room I couldn’t find the internet code so phoned down to reception. The phone rang and rang and eventually cut out. I went downstairs to find the receptionist eating a large tub of ice cream and on her phone - no wonder she didn’t answer! The room felt damp and the carpet and sofa looked dirty, with stains on the sofa. Although the bed was made each day and was extremely comfortable, the room always felt dirty. As for the air conditioning, oh my goodness was it loud!! On the first day I forgot to put my earrings in, I had left them on the bedside table! They were gone when we returned that night! I didn’t report this as they were cheap costume ones, but I didn’t leave anything lying around after that! On the second day the lifts weren’t working so had to use the staircase only to find someone had thrown up in the corner. Apart from one receptionist, we were actively ignored when we went past. The hotel was not cheap and to say I was very disappointed is an under statement. There are not many hotels in this area, so we didn’t have any option as we were visiting family, but I don’t think I would stay here again.

Only stay here if you like the location Limited items at breakfast. Offered toast or English muffin or waffles. Eggs were cold. Sausage patties too. Dry cereal. Exercise room in serious need of renovation. Noisy treadmill. I usually do 3 miles but I couldn’t stay on it that long because of the noise it made. Never did find the remote to the tv. No way to wipe down the machine after using it. The emergency cord on the treadmill was unusable as it was in two pieces. Did have a Great location near Dunkin’ Donuts.
