Clean hotel and rooms, staff is amazing and did amazing at dealing with horrible traveling sports jerks and their kids God bless the staff at this hotel. Their patience and grace should be commended at every level. We stayed on Mother’s Day weekend of 2024. For some horrible reason organizers of a travel sport tournament felt this an appropriate time to host a sporting event, SHAME. Absolutely gross and disgusting and any sporting events that do this should be publicly shamed. Because of this the hotel was filled with the most horrific group of traveling sports parents and children I have ever witnessed. After years of those myself, even being a Hockey Mom for a team of the most dreaded type of traveling sports teams, I have never witnessed the horror these awful, irresponsible, should have their children taken away parents and their unruly spoiled children inflicted upon this poor hotel staff and the unwary patrons trapped by this hellscape of rude, entitled, obnoxious human trash and their parents. Unfortunately, and please hotel staff, this is my only constructive criticism that you not do this to anyone again, I was booked in the first room in the first floor next to the lobby and elevator. I was there for just over an hour before I had a full blown panic attack and meltdown. Please never book guests not part of the sports team in an area that will be heavily abused and definitely not in that room, always put the coach in that specific room. Not only was the cacophony unbearable in the lobby, an entire group of screaming, and I mean SCREAMING parents and children enter the room next to me which has an adjoining door. I am now surrounded on all sides by screams. But when the pounding on my door started to happen as the kids took turns throwing each other around, I had a full blown autistic meltdown. I publicly commend and apologize to the front desk person who had to take my phone call in that state. I was panicking and couldn’t regulate my voice and she was so gracious, calm, understanding and truly helpful as I apologized profusely at my panicked tone explaining I couldn’t help it. She graciously moved us to a top floor room in the furthest corner she could, which ended up being a slightly upgraded room. It was absolutely wonderful and an incredibly fast response to the situation. The staff did everything they could to control what should have been the responsibility of the parents. Parents, listen, please, this has always been an issue but lately is so out of control, YOU are why teachers are quitting in droves. Teach your children basic courtesy and manners. When these kids got in trouble, the mom corrected them not by saying “You shouldn’t do that.” But rather “Stop, we got i. Trouble.” The staff managed to keep the hotel VERY clean despite these horrendous children running up and down every hallway at all hours acting like psychopaths. This was actually above and beyond what I am used to both in the behavior of these kids and the ability of the staff to minimize damage. Every other time we have stayed in a Hampton with sports teams they always manager to fill at least one elevator shaft with food. The staff here cleaned each mess as it happened. Including a 6am hallway vacuum which woke me for breakfast(I was grateful as I wanted to wake at 6:00 The kids were already emptying the breakfast and by 6:20 am the sausage links were gone. They brought out patties but not the same. The breakfast minder was ON TOP OF IT! God bless this woman for her speed and efficiency in cleaning up after these disrespectful hooligans and their loud, obnoxious, inattentive parents. The hotel is a bit older and some rooms are not yet fully updated, but it is incredibly clean, the staff is amazing and I have never seen such an incredible masterclass at managing what has been the single worst experience with a group of traveling sports psychos in my entire life. If you are a parent who was part of this group, please say something. This behavior reflects poorly on the entirety of traveling sports teams and it is YOUR fault. Do better! To the Hampton Inn Staff, ten gold stars for every single one of you! PS - Hampton, you are my go to, even when I can book a fancier hotel. I love the consistency and breakfast waffles, but every time I book sports teams are unruly in your hotels. Please implement room assignment policies that restrict these people to sections of the hotel and demand better behavior for the sanity of your employees and regular guests.

Gem in Clinton, NJj Very impressive, the little touches here make the big difference. Nightlight in bathroom, fingertip towel folded like a flower. All other towels folder very professional. Somebody cares!!!! Breakfast was equally great. All the food was displayed with care. It was very clean and we had a large assortment of delicious food. The only little disappointment was that the manager on duty was continually on the phone. We hope it was business related and not private! Still this hotel deserves a 5 out of 5.

Never again Had a problem yesterday. I spent 2 nights here and booked a third for yesterday thru CLC lodging but some how it booked 2 rooms. 5 hours after booking I went to check in. I told receptionist and manager I don’t not need two rooms. I am by myself, but manager said I have to pay for two rooms. I asked her how outrageous that sounds like evidently clearly there was a glitch issue, but she insisted for me to pay for a second room. They said they need at least 48 hour notice when I do the math it was five hours. Needless to say, I left without checking in I will not return and I am failing this hotel. I can’t believe they act like this is a Third World country I also put a complaint in with Hilton honors.

Doesn't meet expectations Breakfast is subpar compared to competitors. I have stayed here many times and for pricing it's not worth staying here anymore. Had to clean my own table for breakfast and food wasn't refilled. Bfast man wore same gloves to stock food, play on his phone. Room wasn't clean

We moved to a different hotel. I'm not an uptight clean-freak, but every space in this hotel was dirty: the walls, the floor boards, the elevator walls, the elevator doors. The halls had wall paper coming off and piles of tile sitting in the hall. I knew I wasn't just being uptight when a stranger entered the elevator and started talking about how dirty the place was. Breakfast was okay, if you stuck to the bread. There was fresh fruit, which was exciting, but it looked like it had been around for awhile. My partner's room had a plastic bag over his fire alarm. He let the front desk know and they...left it there. We asked them about it in the morning and they let us know it was because they needed to defog the room. We reminded them that the bag also keeps the fire alarm from going off. It wasn't connecting. The cable tv didn't work. We moved to a different hotel.
