This place has really gone downhill! I reviewed this place a few years back when I used to work in this area regularly and haven't stayed here in the last six years or so. I think I gave it a 4 out of 5 before. I had some work in the area again, so I stayed here because of past experience, and I never had any problems before. I wished I had looked at the recent reviews first. This place has really gone downhill. The room was very dark and needs more lighting. I don't think they do maintenance anymore. In my room, the phone didn't work, the clock radio was broken, one of the power plugs was broken, the AC made the room very humid, and the bathroom vent didn't work. Someone also decided to remove the carpet and put in solid floors. That would be fine if not for the humidity. Rubber soled shoes were very slick on the humid floor and became dangerous to even walk across the room. I would like to be able to safely walk across the room. I told the desk about the clock and asked for a replacement, because I like having a clock in the room. That fell on deaf ears. The breakfast was mediocre. On the second day, they didn't even bother to turn on the juice machine. Also, the breakfast workers were running around in sandals, which may not be the most hygienic thing to do around food preparation. They have a game room, but never bothered to turn any of the games on. If the games are never turned on, what's the point in having it? As you can tell, the service at this location wasn't great. On the few pluses, they have a good pool set up if you like a pool. The location is near a lot of food options. The TV channel selection was pretty good. The bones of this place are solid, but some work really needs to be done to the place to make it good again. The pluses nowhere near outweighed the minuses. If I need to return to this area again, I'll be looking for another lodging option. I won't return here again.

A TOTAL DISGUSTING PLACE If I could give minus stars I would in fact it should be -5. What a disgusting place from the time we turned into the street I thought “this might not be good” so I check in and right away I’m told the room we had booked with their reservation desk was not a pet friendly room so we have to change. The thing at the desk was a joke and really could not be worse. So I say ok only have it for one night as we’ve been driving all day. We go to the room and OMFG you have to be kidding, I would not even let my yorkies stay in this room, just disgusting walls with looked like _ on the walls, bad scratches on the door. The floors were slimy the dresser was filthy. I would say stay away. I called the Best Western Hotel and it’s so much better. This place should not be allowed to have rooms like that for patrons. I’ve seen cleaner pig pens.

Nightmare of a stay Quality Inn Coldwater MI This place might show nice pictures but the room we had did not look like that. It clearly needed updating. The bathroom was disgusting and needed a major do over. We had a two night stay and towels for only one night. If we wanted more was told to come down to the desk and get them. Not a very friendly place. The guest staying next door decided to scream swear and carry on. It took two phone calls to the desk before they did anything about it. My granddaughter was with me and was a mess because of their carrying on. Clearly will not be staying there again and would not recommend it for anyone else.

Disguisted I was extremely overcharged from the rate I was quoted over the phone, twice. They reserved my room incorrectly. Then, I had to pay over double the quote I was given, after I specifically asked if the quote was correct, twice.
