Well located, Nice Staff, but Average Older Hampton We recently stayed at this hotel to attend a Football game at the nearby University of Maryland in College Park. The Good: Close to the University of Maryland, easy access off of I-495, clean room, and friendly staff. The Bad: ~ 50% premium for the Football Weekend Rates, Clean but well-used Hampton room, small dining area/breakfast buffet staffing over-whelmed by sold-out hotel, no snacks/drinks available for purchase at the hotel, rooms serviced but towel sets were shortchanged.

Would not recommend Check-im is 3:00pm. We were told our room wouldn’t be ready until 4:30 pm. We came back at 4:30 and were asked to pay. We paid online when we booked our room. Had to go through my checking account to prove the charge. Didn’t get into our room until 5pm. Would not recommend.

Under renovation should be closed I know old hotels need to be renovated and can look like war zones but this takes the award for worst Hampton Inn experience ever. Start with no television as cable/dish not functioning, add to that no WiFi. Then when you want to call down to desk you discover no dial tone and phone doesn’t work. I get in elevator and can get a button to light up so I change to other elevator. Then when you get to front desk no one there as it seems to be monitored by camera. Maybe that didn’t work either as I went behind counter raised my voice and said anyone home? Then I am told no trays to bring breakfast to room the next morning. Maybe I should have just moved to another hotel. They should close or greatly discount rooms and/or warn people before they check in. And all of this joy for $185. Beware

A dump but great service This Hampton inn is more like a roadside motel in facilities and upkeep. The heater is like a jet engine, the walls are thin esp to the hallways, everything was under construction - on top of that water started pouring in through my ceiling during the rain and my toilet needed to be manually flushed. Breakfast is as bad as a Hilton has had. That said, great service! They took care of every problem quickly and with a a smile and true caring. Thank you for that. I hope management gets you a better space to work in.
