Wonderful stay! We had an amazing experience here. Starting with Kathleen at check in who gave us great advice for our first visit here, she was awesome! The room was spacious and really clean and well maintained. If you get a room facing the slopes it's really nice and quiet. The staff in general are very friendly and made us feel like we're on true vacation. 10/10 would come back here.

Lovely hotel but the surrounding resort has become unpleasant We stayed here during the covid summer of 2020 and enjoyed our stay at home covid vacation enough that we booked again for summer 2021. The hotel is lovely and I give it a 4 or 5 star rating given the covid circumstances. I give blue mountain village/resort a 2 star rating and would not recommend it. To reiterate the covid rules - there is no housekeeping at all. We stayed for 5 nights and there was no room refresh. You could call or text down through the chat app for more supplies or specific issues but there was no general housekeeping. Masks have to be worn in all public areas. The gym, saunas and hot tubs are closed and you have to book a time slot at the pool - one time slot per room per day of only 1 hour. The room was fabulous. We were upgraded from the 1 bedroom plus den to a splendid 2 bedroom 2 bathroom overlooking the millpond and it made the vacation with the uncertain weather. It was in one of the towers and the views of the water and town were lovely even when it rained. The balcony was large enough for all four of us to sit there and was spacious enough to eat meals and was handily equipped with a small dining table and 4 chairs. It was especially nice to have a few drinks on the balcony in the evenings and feel like part of the village. It was also covered by the balcony above so could be enjoyed even on rainy days. One note - the air conditioning is still rather loud in the bedrooms. If you are sensitive to that sort of thing, bring a white noise machine. The stricter covid rules made things less pleasant this summer. They seemed to limit pool numbers even further so we had difficulty getting a time slot to use the pool that wasn’t late at night or early in the morning. A couple of times we couldn’t get one at all. We couldn’t get a dinner reservation at any of the restaurants we wanted to eat at because they only had patio dining and it seemed the numbers were further restricted than they were last year. Other changes - the woodlot and the high timber ropes are not included in the play all day pass this year. You have to purchase them separately and also book a time slot. Plunge is also only accessed by booking a time slot which was disappointing. They now have this weird online way to queue virtually for rides now so you’d best have your phone handy at all times and be in good shape to use it. Play all day passes are now pricy for what you get - $240 for 2 adults and 2 kids and long lineups for everything. As was new last year, you had to buy a play all day or a play as you go pass to access the hotel beach. You also had to have a pass or purchase a separate pass to go hiking on the mountain. We didn’t mind paying during the covid summers but I certainly hope they do not keep these particular changes. If you are paying these rates to stay in a hotel in the village, the beach and adjacent hiking should be included.. In addition, new this year, they now tack on a daily village amenity fee - so you spend thousands of dollars, pay this fee, but you still can’t walk around. On our checkout day we were going for a last walk but were stopped and told to buy some kind of pass just to walk around! I am happy to say that all the shops remain in business as far as I remember and it is still a great place to shop for technical gear. We have been coming here for about 20 years now and the new resort policies made everything much less pleasant. The hotel itself is comfortable and the staff are courteous and kind. You do have to be ok with a warren like parking garage that is a headache to navigate if you are not a confident driver ($20 per day). You need to book your pool time the day before at 7 am sharp in order to have a hope of getting a time. Book your reservations to eat in advance, plan Plunge times and ropes times and try to get out on the rides in the sweet spot between 9-10 am. Plan to spend a day or two in town or at Northwinds Beach or Sunset Point Park or further afield in Wasaga Provincial Park or Pretty River Provincial Park if you are unable to get into any of the attractions at BM (note that new this summer Sunset Point beach is charging $10/hour and Northwinds $5 an hour for parking). Hopefully things go back to normal after covid. If you are headed to BM this summer, just be forewarned it won’t be as easygoing as in non covid years and you will pay for every little thing. If they keep these policies we will not be back

Great Birthday Visit Just got back from a 2 night stay to celebrate my 65th birthday. I was greeted with chocolates and a card in our 1 bedroom suite. Our room #366 overlooked the pond and the village. The room was very clean and very spacious with a balcony. The front desk were very friendly . We were going to celebrate my birthday dinner at Oliver & Bonacini but due to the weather our plans needed to change. The staff at the restaurants front desk took the time to help plan our dinner through room service. Thanks to all for a special birthday.

Not worth the Cost Firstly, I have travelled extensively and I have never felt the need to post a review of a hotel stay. However, my recent stay at the Westin was so poor...I feel that I should post about it. In summation, customer service was non-existent. The front desk staff did not seem to be educated as to the policies and procedures of the hotel for which they are employed. Upon check-in, we were not made aware that housekeeping had to be requested. We stayed for three nights and it took two nights to finally receive clean towels. A bag of towels finally came at 12:30 am(on the second night). This was after we could not find a parking space in the underground lot. Not enough parking spots for the number of guests in the hotel. Ordered breakfast from the restaurant one morning and waited an hour to only receive the wrong order. The only response from the staff was that "things were not going well this morning". After waiting an hour for the wrong order...it is not what I wanted to hear. In closing, my next stay in the area will definitely be at another hotel. Very disappointed!!

Really???? This is a $425+/ night hotel in a great location. It's a dog hotel which turns it into a lesser hotel! 8am / 11pm the dogs were barking from multiple rooms. First of all I own a dog so I like dogs but I didn't expect dogs all over the place in this hotel while I'm on holiday and paying these prices. Elevators, hallways, restaurants .....dogs. For that reason I would not stay here again..
