OK but will go elsewhere Bedroom was remodeled with vinyl plank flooring, freshly painted and crown moulding, nice. Refrigerator did not have a freezer compartment. For some reason I was given a handicapped room - partial update was done in bathroom, could use more (shower stall and tile). All rooms open to the outside (new term used is "balcony" in the hotel write-up). Room entry door could be more secure/reassuring - outside light visible around frame and broken inside top lock. Outdoor pool was clean/nice, towels available poolside. Too bad some woman was yelling to someone to come up and someone had loud music playing (thumping base) during the middle of the night that woke me.

Roaches! Worst Experience at a Sleep Inn Ever! Broken up rooms, smoke smell everywhere both cigarette and marijuna, the pool shut down by the South Carolina health department, no breakfast as advertised, the emergency exits were bolted shut and they had ROACHES!!!

This Place is Governed by its Own Set of Rules In short, pass by this place. I have traveled over a decade with Choice Brands....but here is a first. No hot breakfast, although web sites says "hot breakfast". Usually, if your room is available, and you're 10 or so minutes early, sure check in...not here. If you are using points, you are still required to surrender a CC and Driver's license. I was able to retrieve my points and cancel the reservation via the mgr./ owner. However, not without some trying to appreciate the variances with Choice Hotels guide lines...no resolve.

This property let the Sleep Inn brand down! My wife and I are fans of the Sleep Inn and stop there when we can during our travels. Our stop to this one was a major disappointment. The room smelled stale. With about 20 cars in the parking lot when we arrived and also when we left we were given a room looking out onto 3 large Air Conditioning compressors. The toilet when it flushed was extremely LOUD. Even with the help of the staff we never could get hot water in the shower. On the plus side the room was well equipped , good wifi, comfortable beds and good staff. I think though most people would agree this is simply not enough to make our visit anything else but rated poor!

This place should be named "Sleep Somewhere Else" Advertised as a 4 star property with a pool and hot breakfasts, it has none of these. It does, however, have a rude front desk person (NOT Quay - she was very nice) who was nothing but curt and short when we offered surprise as to the pool beind closed and no hot breakfast due to "Covid protocol" this is after all 2022 not 2020. The room was terrible with rust on the bed and desk lamps, no drain stopper in the sink, the TV remote placed in an ice bucket plastic bag, bags of trash in the front parking lot around the entrance. There was a coffee maker in the room which as I remember was NOT Covid protocol. The entire breakfast area was closed to patrons, but there were coffee pots set up there for patrons self service, again, is this Covid protocol? They also stated that house keeping would only be offered after three days. The outside window in our room (204) was painted over with a primer type of paint which blocked the view. Another issue was that the only working ice machine was on the first floor, all the upper floor machines were out of order. All in all, this place is unkempt, understaffed, poorly maintained and not cared for by ownership. This property should be closed, or at least properly rated. It struggles to be a 1 star - avoid it at and cost. There are several nice properties within a 1 block radius.
