Staybridge Suites Columbus - Worthington, an IHG Hotel

Off peak $104 a night Wants to be up to other Staybridge hotels. Average stay but not equal to other Staybridge hotels we have stayed in. Could use a good cleaning especially the stairwells. The bed was comfortable. Plenty parking. Close to I-270. Coffee was cold at 730 am for breakfast. After pointing that out we did get hot coffee 10 minutes later. Average hotel stay but typically Staybridge would be a 5 star review.

Very Rough Hotel The deskman on duty at our arrival was nice and friendly but things definitely went downhill from there. The hallway to our room smelled moldy. Then we opened the door to the room and were greeted by a portable air conditioner and a fan. There was a dirty glass in the sink and flies in the room probably from the air conditioning duct. At least the bed seemed clean and we were only staying one night. Breakfast area was not cleaned. Lesson learned - we should have read the reviews before booking.

If I was IHG I would be embarrassed Not impressed. To keep it short, the water in my room never got hot, or even warm, so I took a cold shower 7/8 days I stayed here. The 1 day my shower got barely warm, it would go luke warm for about 10 sec, then cold for 10, then luke warm for 10, then cold again for 10 over and over. I also tried taking showers at all times of the day to see if that would help. I addressed this with the front desk and the shorter, heavier girl with dark hair basically told me too bad and to just live with it. The other taller, skinnier girl with lighter hair was willing to try and help. So she sent a man who spoke no English to my room to fix it. He came in, turned the "hot" water on and felt it, then walked out without a word. I hollered at him down the hallway to ask what the plan was and he just said "yes". Still no hot water, and no real concern and effort. My room keys stopped working and the front desk (another shorter, heavier, dark hair girl) just acted annoyed at me because I couldn't get into my room (as she was on her personal cell phone chatting with a friend). The first night, none of the buildings doors key accesses worked, and no one could get in to their buildings. There was a large amount of pretty gross long dog hair all throughout my room. I could tell the silverware had not been washed from the last guest. And there were just a handful of other things during my 8 night stay. The positive: the large pillows and the large TV's. Conclusion: I won't ever stay here again. If I were IHG I wouldn't want this place associated with my name. I left a review on their website a month ago and haven't heard anything from them as a follow up.

Very disappointing and filthy but great front desk staff While the staff was wonderful (Chanel and Monique/Monica were both very helpful and kind), this hotel is in need of some major work and it was filthy. I don't know if housekeeping is understaffed or untrained, but it was so dirty. The first room we got reeked of cigarette smoke. Thankfully Chanel moved us down a few rooms. It smelled better, but it was dirty. The mirrors and tvs had smeared streaks across them... as if they were cleaned with furniture polish instead of window cleaner. The bathroom was awful and there was no hot water in the room. I could get slightly warm water for a few seconds at a time in order to get marginally clean. The hallway reeked of Marijuana. I had stayed here before, but this was so much worse than the last time. I will not stay here again.

Needs some TLC Cons: Room is in need of repair. Dirty needle found on bathroom counter. Hotel needs a deep clean. Pros: Breakfast decent and size of the room is nice. Location is perfect with restaurants nearby. Starbucks up the street. Lots of hotels nearby, pick another one if you can.
