Great Staff, not so great quality. I would give all of the staff here 5 stars as they were friendly and helpful and whatever I needed they supplied it. The bathroom needed the water stained ceiling tiles replaced along with a shower head that had a nasty build up from the water. The light switch plates looked dirty in the area of where you toggle the light on. A piece of wallpaper was coming off above the shower wall. The chairs to sit in looked like they could you some new upholstery as they were worn and had a few spots that were very warm. The AC ran well even though the cooler weather didn’t warrant much use if it, however, it always seemed to be humid in the room and the carpet felt like it was retaining any moisture in the air. The outside columns of the overhang are rotted. It was very difficult to get the luggage rack or someone in a wheelchair through doors that don’t open automatically. Hopefully, with some repairs maybe it would be better.

Nope Stayed here with my daughter, November 2023. The room was dirty, bathroom gross…..human hairs all over room and mold and peeling wall paper. The carpets were stained and filthy. The halls and stairwells smelled like urine and cigarettes. Do not waste your money.

Nastiest place I’ve ever smelt or stayed in. Front desk girl was very sweet, but that’s the ONLY positive thing. As soon as you enter the hallways you can smell cigarettes, urine, and must and there are visible nasty stains all over the carpets, the room was disgusting, bed was very obviously unchanged. Dirty, smelly carpeted floor with obvious stains and spills, dirty bathroom with mold and peeling wallpaper, stray human hairs all over the bed sheets, had to wait around the front desk a while upon checkout. For a non-smoking place, it smells like an ash tray. Pass. The city of Cortland should be ashamed that businesses like this are open and serving people.

The Quality is Gone from the "Quality Inn." So, my husband and I are die hard Comfort Inn/Quality Inn/Clarion Inn fans - and we had stayed in this hotel about a year ago. To say this was disappointing (and a little disturbing) is an understatement. Unclean ~ it is really is substandard at best. The hallways did not see a vacuum (or it isn't working properly) over my entire stay (of 2 days). The hallway carpet had pieces of it missing, and the wallpaper was peeling off the walls in the hallway as well. Lighting left something to be desired and I was put at the end of a dark hall. I was put in Room 123 first. Wow, just wow (and not in a good way). There was a black mildew in the toilet boil (obviously had not been cleaned in weeks). It had not been vacuumed and the microwave was lopsided (looked like the feet had been stolen off one end). It had an odor, not sure exactly what it was - perhaps the mold in the toilet bowl? It was sensory overload (all the noticeable issues) that I called corporate. They told me it would take time to refund my money (didn't say how long), and that they could book me in the Clarion Inn (next door), but I would have to pay for that immediately - (no transfer of reservation) and that they wanted me to talk to the front desk. I was concerned about not getting a refund on the room and then paying for another room (had issues like that happen in the past with another hotel chain, so I was unwilling to take that chance). I called the front desk and I was offered another room (across the hall) - room 124. This room was a bit better (I accepted it because by now it was late and I didn't want to have to pay twice for this weekend without assurances that I would be fully refunded). This room had mold stains on the ceiling and it also had an odor (though, not as offensive as the first room). Room # 2 had the slowest flushing toilet ever to a point where I thought I was going to have to call front desk again. Due to travelling alone - it being late - and my being exhausted (from a full days activities) - I made the best of it. There was another gentleman also being re-assigned a room last night at the same time as I called the front desk (on the first floor) and I overheard him comment to someone he was talking to on his phone. I would not recommend this hotel to solo female travelers. I really felt uncomfortable here. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values cleanliness. They really need to have quality control - or a "mystery guest" who can assess their level of service/care. It was lacking. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone who expects dated to be at least maintained. Mold, stained ceilings, missing pieces of carpet, and peeling wallpaper. I realize this is a 2 star hotel - so I did not go into this expecting a Marriott. I do manage my expectations! However, the quality at the Quality Inn has gone down hill markedly. Here's another thing I noticed. During the day the parking lot was EMPTY while the nearby hotels (better quality I would suspect) had semi full parking lots ~ this was not the case with the Quality Inn (I notice things like that). That speaks volumes to me. This is a transient hotel - and not a place you'd want to stay for anything than a desperate 1 night on the road. Even the parking lot - was full of potholes, and wasn't maintained... (I should have heeded the red flags). Live n' learn I guess. It's been a year since my last stay here and it SHOWS. If you want cheap, don't care where you stay and just want a bed - this will suffice. If you want Quality - go to the Clarion next door.

Very rundown hotel This hotel was very rundown. The first room we were given had the smoke detector disconnected and laying on the dresser, one bedside lamp didn't work, and the wallpaper was peeling everywhere. The second room we were give (due to lack of smoke detector in the first) was not much better. While the smoke detector was attached and the lamps worked, the wallpaper again was peeling, the bathroom floor was sticky, and the toilet had water stains like the bowl hadn't been cleaned in a while. We only stayed because we were past the cancellation period but we went to sleep early and got out asap the next morning. The Belgian waffle for breakfast was good.
