Last minute accomodations We needed a room thanks to the worldwide IT outage on Friday night, couldn't find a reasonably priced one near San Diego so we drove. The lady on the reservation line helped book us, the front desk was friendly and helpful. The rooms were clean and updated. The breakfast is your typical continental breakfast. They had a reasonable amount of staff working in there to keep it clean and food available.

Cozy, affordable, and close enough to beach! The hotel exudes a charming lodge-like feel, and while it may be a tad dated, it's well-maintained and even showing signs of a remodel. The staff is friendly, and the breakfast is top-notch. Highly recommended for families, comfortable stay!

The manager is unhinged and needs to be fired The manager Naj is extremely unhinged & will Yell at you if you have any concern to discuss even if it is their inconvenience. They shut the water off in the entire building for 2 hours a day due to renovations… so I asked for a $20 or whatever the taxes are off as a concession. I left the counter shaking literally & I cried honestly because I could not believe how cruel and unfair these men were without warrant. I am traumatized by their mal treatment & def would not recommend. It’s just unbearable to be treated this way. If I were a caucasian male or female he would not have treated me so awful … as soon as a caucasian woman approached their entire tone and energy changed immediately. I am appalled and so upset that I ever spent money here honestly. Some of the staff is super kind. Just not Naj and the big buff guy who thinks he is superman and talks down to females and has no customer service skills. Two men bullying a woman.

Construction! Construction! Construction! We had a free night, so my husbnad and I decided to take a rare weekend away from our toddler. Chose this hotel because it was central to many things in OC. The headache started when we walked into the lobby to find misspelled construction signs posted all over the place. No warning of any construction was given to us during booking or when I called to combine our free night and added night's reservation. Drilling continued until 10pm every night. We got water shutoff notices with only 40 minute advance notices, and we couldn't open the windows to our hotel because they were painting the outside of the building. This was annoying because the dated AC system in our room was quite noisy that it was hard to hear our own TV when it was on. So, we had to choose to watch TV or use the AC. The free "breakfast" is outside of the building. You have to leave the lobby and walk across the parking lot. The choices are slim to none, and the hot food is served to you in an attempt, it felt, to reduce the amount of food we got. Oh! And don't think about bringing your food back to your room. That's not allowed here. Quite embarrassing when you come down in your pajamas like my husband and I did just to be told we had to sit and eat our food there with other diners.. in our pajamas. Staff was pleasant, but not enough for us to want to come back to this location.
