Nice hotel but drinks vastly overpriced Went with a coach tour and had an amazing time. The welcome was warm and friendly, our room was located 2 minutes from the lift due to my mobility issues and for someone who can't sleep without pain, let's say it's been a long time since I had 6 hours uninterrupted sleep. Yep the bed was that comfy. Food choices were limited, but they bent over backwards to accommodate my food allergies Bad points: a few food items were cold, as in they had been left on a hot plate too long and the price of alcohol is ridiculous (£11 for a glass of wine, £33 for a bottle of wine £6 for a pint of beer).

Extremely rude employee/manager Holiday Inn Express has always been my first choice when making hotel reservations. I had no reason to think the one in Coventry, RI would be an exception. I can’t comment on the room, food, pool, etc., I never made it past the lobby. The employee at the front desk, she claimed to be the manager and only person on duty, was not very pleasant, but we all have bad days. She claimed I could not check in because room was in my husband’s name, and he couldn’t check in the second room we reserved because he wouldn’t be sleeping in both. The rooms were reserved using a military discount. I was told to cancel one room and put it in my name. I would have to make a phone call to receive the discount. When I asked her for help…phone number, etc., she refused and told me to find it online, also refusing to make a phone call to change the reservation to my name. Room was canceled, and when I tried to remake reservation, website said it was full. Going back to gal at desk, she said she’d make it for me, but I would have to pay double the price. Conversation escalated and she claimed she never told me to cancel the room, though others heard what was said. I have NEVER been treated so rudely and the decision was made to cancel the reservations (both rooms for 4 days), and go elsewhere. I’m putting my complaint here because I can’t find any way to complain directly to Holiday Inn. We actually ended up going to another Holiday Inn near the airport. The customer service was excellent! Even my grandchild commented on how nice this new lady was compared to the mean one! Yes, I ended up paying much more, but it was worth it just to get away from the so called manager…she will continue to chase people away with her hateful attitude.

Happily Go Again I give them credit for providing a newspaper for guests. An old-school piece of charm that I really appreciate. The hotel was clean and rooms were nice. Sadly my room (305) didn't have a working stopper for the bathtub, so I couldn't take a bath. Otherwise, it was a good experience. I would enjoy going again.

Save yourself the hassle, go somewhere else I often stay at Holiday Inns while on vacation and this hotel was a disappointment. The rooms were dusty, no trash liners in trash cans, no K-cups provided to use in keriug machine, the bathtub was gross, and a very skimpy breakfast was provided. For the amount of money I was charged for 1 night stay mid-week I expected a better stay. I won't be returning to this hotel if I'm in the area.
