Moldy and unclean rooms The room that we were given had mold growing all over the bed. It wasn’t just a couple spots. It was all down the side of the bed and it was pretty obvious that it was there. So I don’t know how much they actually clean their rooms. There was also moldy food in the fridge that was left there from previous people. And the safety lock on the door was broken.

Stay elsewhere First off, my expectations for Super 8 were pretty low to begin with, especially at this price point. However, this experience fell well below my already low expectations. I do not suggest staying here. We booked two rooms at the last minute as we were traveling through the redwoods. The first room was filthy. We could tell that someone had been living in there, smoking, cooking food, and most likely had a dog that scratched off the paint around the doorway. We asked to change rooms after seeing the first one. The front desk worker was not very kind upon hearing our request. The rooms smelled, the showers had low water pressure, sketchy people in the parking lot, loud people walking around late at night. Overall, we did not feel safe in this hotel. The website said the hotel did not accept pets, but we saw at least three people bringing dogs into their rooms. This could be a major issue for people with allergies. I suggest staying somewhere else in Crescent City. If I wasn’t traveling with my children, I probably would have rather slept in my car. Super 8 should not allow this hotel to use their name/brand.

Nice room Nice room, not much around. We ate at SeaQuake brewery and it was very good. Rainy and cold so not a lot of walking around outside. Room was perfect for the one night stay on a 3000 mile road trip.

Stay way clear of here The pictures online are hugely misleading— this is a dirty, seedy dilapidated dumpster fire of a hotel, complete with construction trash strewn everywhere, stinky rooms that smell like wood varnish, meth heads coming out of rooms.. we had to leave this place behind. It was beyond awful.
