Perfect for a weekend getaway The hotel is built on a waterfall which provides amazing views. They light up the river at night. The restaurant serves excellent food with great choices for a wine/beer flight. Stay is very comfortable.. Lots of places to hike around the area. Akron downtown is close by. We went there a couple times for dinner. All in all, a great place for a weekend getaway.

Nice suite hotel This was my first time to stay here, because Sheraton is part of one of my frequented hotel groups with platinum elite status namely the Marriott Bonvoy. I also stayed here, because I had one complimentary room stay for one night up to 35k points. The hotel was also approximately halfway along on my return road trip from Chicago. It was about 15 minutes south of the route 80 travel route. I was here post-COVID. When I arrived I was able to park my Audi in front of the hotel’s complimentary parking lot. My check in went smoothly in that they recognized my status. Everyone wore masks, however, since I was already vaccinated I was not required to wear my mask. I decided to wear my mask in public places in the hotel. I requested a room overlooking the river and the falls, which they granted me. My very nice large king bed room suite 201 was located on the 2rd floor with a nice view of the falls and stream. As platinum elite I would normally receive access to their club located on the 2nd floor near the elevators, however, the club was closed due to COVID. The hotel, therefore, included two complimentary breakfasts, which included muffins with eggs, which could be heated in their microwave oven. The hotel also offered coffee, tea, milk, bananas, yogurt and cereal. I was very happy with my stay here. I checked out using my iPhone. Next time I go to Chicago I will fly rather than drive.

What a great hotel! Front desk agent was very accommodating. Hotel was clean and the views were amazing. Hotel bar and restaurant was excellent. Both bartenders were very friendly. Rooms were clean with space to stretch out.

Clean, comfortable, plus a great view Stayed for a weekend getaway in the winter. Room (suite) was huge, clean, and beds comfy. The on-site bar and restaurant was a gem. There is a beautiful view overlooking the falls. Quite romantic. We also used the pool and hot tub and it was clean, warm, and well-maintained. Would recommend. Only negative, the hotel sits across the street from a fire station, so we did have some noise from sirens in the a.m.

Nice Location in a nice town Property is located right on the falls with the restaurant overlooking the lovely view. Can’t beat the view. Check in was efficient and front desk staff was friendly and made a good first impression. Lobby elevators were slow and the right one didn’t seem to be working at all. With the social distancing, you might be there awhile. Luckily, those aren’t the only elevators and it would be helpful if front desk pointed this out. Hotel seemed fairly full with a lot of children roaming about. I got the impression this hotel is a weekend party hotel and a place where traveling teams stay. Kids were racing up and down the halls constantly in packs of 5-10 at a time. I typically stay in hotels >150 nights a year (even in 2020 with the pandemic) and feel like I’m pretty fair. I’m not super picky. The good: Front desk staff is solid. Hotel location is fantastic with easy walks to bars and restaurants. Room size was good. We had a king suite. Very comfortable bed. Shower had good pressure and a variety of streams. View from restaurant is excellent. Things to improve: Room maintenance could be better. There was a tear in lamp shade. Sliding door between bedroom and sitting area had a gap. Probably just misaligned. Missing faceplate on wall outlet for the phone. TV in bedroom would sometimes lose signal on some channels. NBC was one. TV in sitting area was too small. Hook on bathroom door was broken off. Vent above shower was caked in dust. Hadn’t been cleaned in ages. Towel rack to shower is too close and at head height which, if not careful, you will hit your head on it. With Covid, most hotels aren’t at capacity which means it could have been a good time for this property to audit their rooms and make repairs and clean those vents that get overlooked. Overall I’d probably stay here again because the location is great but a few maintenance and cleanliness issues prevents me from rating this property a 4 or 5. If there was a 3.5 rating option on TripAdvisor I’d probably rate it at 3.5.
